The Enclave is a 2 acre private island paradise, located on Placencia Caye, 100 yards from Placencia Pier and the world-famous sidewalk. With 7 individual beach chalets, your party will have room to spread out and relax on island time. The Enclave Island Retreat is designed to provide the most luxurious island lifestyle in Belize with views of the Caribbean Sea, Placencia village and the Mayan Mountains.

On this luxurious private island, there is plenty of room for a large family, a conference, wedding party, or a group of friends. Enclave Island Retreat is a luxurious 7-bedroom, 7.5 bath beachfront island with media/game room, fishing pier, and private pool. We have developed a resort-style private island home with first class amenities. Let your private chef, concierge, and housekeeper take care of everything; all you have to do is put up your feet and relax.

The 7 private beachfront bedroom suites are professionally designed, each 1000+ square foot room is adorned with bright comfy furniture from front to back, offering amazing ocean views from your own private porch. All rooms have a/c, large Flat screen smart TV’s, wifi, mini fridge, coffee bar, safe, seating area, closets, huge private bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. Two of the bedrooms also have outdoor garden tubs and loft bedrooms with 2 twin beds.

The Enclave Island Retreat’s two living areas make entertaining or breaking away from the group easy and comfortable. The center piece of the island is the massive open-air veranda containing over 4,400 sq. ft. of living area with soaring ceilings made from local Belizean hardwood, all overlooking a sandy white beach and large pool. The resort pool, complete with tanning ledge and large layout deck is located in the center of this amazing space. Making it the ideal place to relax or play some pool volleyball. The veranda also has a large full walk around bar ideal for making drinks while relaxing by the pool or playing a game of billiards.

The separate media/game room is a large 550 sq. ft. air-conditioned room with TV, media system, shuffleboard table, foosball table and comfortable seating. This room is designed to be very flexible and to be used for multiple functions from conferences, game room, or media room. Large kitchen with massive dining area equipped for the home cook or professional chef.

The Enclave shuttle boat is available to take you to Placencia Village which is just a short 2 minute ride in protected smooth water.

Enclave’s professional full time onsite house staff, which consist of a private chef, concierge, maid, boat captain and grounds keeper are available to ensure all details are taken care of. Your biggest chore of the day is deciding which lounge chair to occupy.

Best trip ever

We have a large family, and celebrated our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. It was hands down the best trip and experience. I highly recommend Enclave - the staff went above and beyond, the location was gorgeous, and we had everything we needed for a stress free trip. A little piece of heaven

The Enclave at Placencia Caye was like a little piece of heaven. The crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches were breathtaking. The lush greenery surrounding the enclave provided a sense of tranquility that was unmatched. It was the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. I could spend hours just lounging on the beach and reading a book. I absolutely loved our villas! The rooms were so comfortable and well-decorated. Every time I walked in, it felt like I was stepping into a luxurious spa. I could really relax and unwind in such a beautiful space. Several couples in my group were celebrating milestone anniversaries. When we checked in, the rooms had adorable "Happy Anniversary" messages written out with flowers on the beds. It was such a sweet surprise. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Oz, our concierge, ensured that our group was cared for every step of the way. And let me tell you, Oscar, the chef, was a culinary genius! He cooked up some of the most delicious meals I've ever tasted. One morning, a few guys went fishing and caught some barracuda. Oscar cooked it up for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious! This place was truly a paradise on earth.

Truly a unique property!

We stumbled upon this property while looking for a unique place for a family of 17 to vacation together. It provided each couple with their own private bungalow and one for the teens which gave privacy but allowed us to come together for meals and excursions, along with friends fly games of volleyball, pool, etc. The staff was extraordinarily attentive and provided professional and friendly service. The chef was spectacular and the meals for truly wonderful opportunities to experience some of the best Belizian cuisines. Though there were 17 of us, it never seemed crowded rather the Enclave provided us the opportunity to relax, connect and not worry about a single detail!

An incredible experience your party will enjoy!

From the moment you arrive in Placencia to the moment you board the plane you are treated like a king returning home from a long trip. The level of concierge service provided by the staff is better than anyone could ask for, the island itself is beautiful and peaceful and the city of Placencia is a safe, fun place to hang out and shop around. The staff are accommodating to any request big or small and the chef is very careful to adjust the menu for any dietary restrictions. The alternative meals are just as good, if not better than the main dishes! Everyone there working on the island is happy to see you and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The island itself is magical with incredible sunsets/sunrises and beautiful flora/fauna everywhere you look. From the iguanas that live on the island to the dolphins that swim by the dock in the mornings, every day is a new experience with something to remember for a lifetime. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and suggest you book your stay immediately.

Couldn’t Ask For More

The Enclave was more than we could have ever imagined. The property was well thought out and maintained, and large enough to easily accommodate the 13 of us. The villas were spacious, stylish and clean. The views were spectacular. We thought eating breakfast, lunch and dinner would be too much, so we requested just brunch and dinner. By the 4th day, we were requesting breakfast, lunch, dinner and any appetizers they wanted to serve us. The food was wonderful and special care was taken to provide each of us with a special dining experience. They even allowed a few in our group to cook right along side of them. The most important, and best part of The Enclave is the staff. Oswin, George, Mario, Melvin, Elman, Sandy and Genesis, thank you so much for making us all feel so special. We were treated like royalty. The attention that was lavished on each of us by the lovely staff was beyond anything we ever expected. It was very difficult to leave The Enclave, but we did so, taking away some of the best lifetime memories we could imagine. Thank you. If you are thinking about booking at the The Enclave, DO IT! It’s a vacation of a lifetime.

Amazing Family Vacation

We had an amazing time at Enclave. We had 17 people including an 8, 9, and 10 year old. We had 5 adults in their early to mid 20's and the oldest in our group was 76. The pictures do not do the property justice. The location is great (short boat ride to town), the property is immaculate, and the staff went above an beyond. The central gathering area with the kitchen, dining area, pool, pool table, and living area is the heart of the property. A relaxing, fun filled place for everyone to gather. At the same time, with 7 separate villas there is plenty of privacy and space when people need quiet and privacy. The meals are amazing and Anthony did a wonderful job. We had a few picky eaters and a food allergy and the crew handled it all effortlessly. Oswin and his crew; Anthony, Mario, Juanito, Sandy, and Maria took great care of us. Plenty of games for the kids inside and out. Juanito and the kids caught fish right off the dock and Anthony fileted them and served them for lunch the next day. The sand fleas and no-seeums were bad when we were there. They spray each day to keep the bugs down but, we had quite a few bites the first day or two until we got a better routine with bug spray. A small nuisance in the grand scheme of things. Don't pass up an opportunity to visit paradise. We'd give Gecko and the island staff a 10 out of 10!

Spectacular!!

This is the most incredible place! Even better than the pictures! We were pampered every moment of our stay. Gourmet meals by George...every one delicious, beautifully presented, fresh juices, excellent desserts! Sandy kept our homes cleaned daily with perfection! Oswin tended to our every need! Mario and Juanito were busy taking care of us! And...they are all great volleyball players...game on!! This island can't be beat! Better than the Four Seasons!

Fantastic place and vacation!

We loved so much about our vacation. The property was beautiful, the staff incredible, the meals so delicious. We worked with Henry before our stay, he picked us up at the airport, everything was smooth. Oswin and Mike catered to our every needs. Mike is an incredible chef. We all would highly recommend this property. To enhance our stay, having adult size paddleboards would have been excellent - this was our only disappointment. Other than that, really everything else was fabulous.

Our group of friends have been vacationing together all around the world for the past 29 years and the Enclave May be our best experience yet. The property is gorgeous and lacks for nothing. Placencia is charming with endless possibilities for excursions. Best of all was the amazing staff on the island - to a person, they were so friendly, helpful and great hosts. Amazing vacation, location, staff and facilities

I'll start with the bad -- only because it's shortest and easiest. 1. The bugs are a little bit of a problem. It was sunny the first few days, so they weren't out. But the last few, it was cloudy and they came out in force. Be prepared and keep the bug spray on. We also tried garlic pills and Skin So Soft. 2. The sand isn't soft -- it's pretty much rock solid. It hurts to walk on without sandals. The pics look soft, but it isn't. But that was a non-issue -- more of a heads up. 3. Some of the "games" need some love. The cornhole boards were rotted through, pool table, ping pong table and shuffleboard tables a little warped & fishing poles only allow for a 20ft cast. Yes, you can tell now that I'm reaching! But those are the only things I can think of!! As for the good - EVERYTHING else!!!!!! 1. The location is amazing as you are so close to all the restaurants/shops/bars in Placencia (some of our group actually swam across). But you can also be totally secluded on your island. If you haven't been to Placencia, it's really cool. More beach bars, restaurants, coffee houses and shops than you can see in a week - but not too many! 2. The houses are all in perfect condition. Very nicely decorated and they didn't skimp on anything or take any shortcuts. 3. The staff. They were all great. Very friendly and accommodating. Anything you want, they will help. Any time. We didn't stay up late -- but I'm pretty sure if we needed something in the middle of the night, they would have done it with a smile. This should be #1 as far as "rank" -- but I'm just flying off the top of my head right now. 4. The food. Don't overthink the menu. Just say yes to what they suggest. George did a fantastic job. It's tough to have 14 people like a meal -- but he did it EVERY single time. 5. The layout. It was absolutely perfect having your own house -- and then two gathering areas. The two gathering areas were each great and allowed for a fairly decent sized group of 14 to feel very comfortable -- with plenty of space (way more than enough) to roam. Biggest tip -- hit up Duty Free in Belize City BEFORE you get through Customs!!! Once you get to Placencia, prices on liquor are 3x or 4x. You can always drink the local liquors for normal prices though. But if you want a specific brand (the girls in our group love Tito's) -- then stock up in BZE BEFORE you get to customs. There are DF shops after customs, but you can't buy there.

Perfect in every way!

It took me a while to write this review because I had to come down from all of the pampering! First a BIG shout out to Oswin, George, Mario, and Marlow! There was not one need that they didn't attend to. Any problem that might have arose was dealt with immediately, even if it was a complete inconvenience. Oswin was our on-site concierge. He was wonderful. He was even kind enough to break out his bar tending and swimming skills! George, our chef, came through with every single meal. Perfection! He even made reservations for us at a local restaurant when we wanted to go to the mainland. (Highly recommend the Rumfish in Placencia). Mario and Marlow were our boat drivers and handymen. No matter how many trips we wanted to take into the island, they were more than happy to do so! To say that they went above and beyond for us would be an understatement. They were part of our group by the end of the week with invitations to visit us all in the States! The cleaning crew was terrific. The beautiful rooms were kept impeccable. They were even brave enough to do our laundry for us twice during the stay! And I could not have planned this trip without my man, Henry! He was there to reassure me throughout the whole planning process. He took it the extra mile in every step, from the menu planning, to the airport, to the massages and last minute excursions. We had to make a last minute flight change for one couple and it was done with complete ease. The one downfall would be the sandflies. We all came home with bug bites, but we know this is not something that can be helped. It just goes with the territory. The staff does spray on a daily basis and we are instructed to either be off the island or inside. We usually hit up the indoor game room at this time. It only takes about a half hour a night. For one of the nights, Mario even offered to take us on a sunset cruise. For our return trip, we will know to bring some brightly colored pants and shirts to wear in the early mornings or evenings at sunset. And we will all be returning!!! Thank you Enclave staff! It was PERFECT!!!

Simply Amazing

12 of us traveled to this private island for a friend's birthday. Talia was very helpful and thorough with all of our pre-arrival questions. Upon arrival to BZE airport, our group was personally escorted through security to board the smaller plane (Maya Air) to transport us to Placencia. We were warmly greeted by Henry in Placencia. We arrived early, so our houses weren't quite ready. No problem, though. Henry provided beverages and told us about the island while we waited. Mario then picked us up on the boat and took us directly to the island. It was a great opportunity to see the ocean and then... wow... The Enclave! The friendly team greeted us with beverages, a smile, and a tour. Each house is beautiful! They are a little close together, but you cannot hear/see each other when you're inside. This was no issue for us. They are all modern, very clean and beautifully decorated! Our personal favorites were Woodpecker and Scarlet Macaw because of the views. It was so beautiful and peaceful to wake up to those amazing views! Laundry and cleaning service ladies were awesome too. The chef (George) and assistant (Michael/Miguel and Marlon) were amazing! George prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for us every day. We own a restaurant, so good food is key for our travels. George did an amazing job with our meals and accommodated several of our guests' different dietary restrictions. The food and friendly service was a highlight for sure!! It rained every day, but that wasn't a problem. There are so many activities on the island (and in town) that it didn't stop us from having fun. There are kayaks, ping pong, Jenga, corn hole, cards, volleyball, shuffleboard and an indoor "game" room. Several of us got massages on the island and all were very good! We also went deep sea fishing and they cooked the fish that evening for us. I recommend these activities, along with the ATV tour and tubing tour (by Captian Jaks and Fred at Mayan World Tours). All were great activities! We rented an extra golf cart and drove around Placencia. You could walk to a lot of shops, bars and restaurants, but it was fun riding the golf carts as well! The town is very laid back and every place we visited was friendly and good. You could also buy groceries and alcohol in town. Tip: buy ABC in duty free in BZE airport and bring a lot of bug spray (only negative here). Overall, trip of a lifetime thanks to the beautiful island and staff!! THANK YOU x100!

Family Holiday

The facilities are clean and in excellent shape. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sand flies are bad - might be in outdoor furniture. Overall we had a great time.

Wonderful staff, always ready to assist. Food was fantastic! Views, & property are gorgeous. Seemed to have incredible silent lightning storms at night for a spectacular show & days were sunny & gorgeous! What a neat phenomenon. A bit too many black flies- so come prepared. Personal Exclusive Resort...

Personal Attention was the name of the game from Day 1...And with this in mind made our stay at the Enclave Fun, Relaxing and Worry Free. It is hard for me to think about a time I have thought a property exceeded the pictures, but the Enclave is a place that did. The Villas were well appointed and common areas were perfect for our needs. The Staff Was Awesome!!!!....But now to what made it Great...Talia and her staff were totally committed to make your stay perfect from the moment the reservation was made. About half of our guest used air transport to Placencia, and the other used ground from Belize City. Both ways went off without a hitch. The food on the island was very good, it was really good to start early in developing your menu. The Chef was able to make all our requests come true. The rest of the items were handled the same way, whether it was extra Golfcarts to Excursions, Talia and Company were on it and made it happen...It is also nice to visit the Village of Placencia, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s are a little more hopping due to Cruise ship arrivals but it was no where near crowded....For a final word, most of us stayed on the island relaxing and enjoying what it had to offer.....But Fun was had by ALL!!!

Private Island Perfection

We had a large group of friends celebrating 40th birthdays and chose to stay at The Enclave. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would highly recommend it and even visit again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Villas were all beautiful. Not a bad room on the island! The food that the chef prepared for us was delicious, fresh and made from scratch. The concierge was very helpful with arranging excursions and spa treatments. Our trip had the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and fun! Highly recommended!
