Air conditioning was not required. And the pool was empty? Perhaps too early in the season?

Great hotel, all areas are clean and well kept. I understand it’s a casino but getting ID’d everytime you get off the elevator is insane.

This hotel is a must stay it has so much history and the elevator is so awesome it’s a piece of history! The staff is amazing and so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the hotel ! The only negative is there is no air conditioning but they will give you a powerful fan for your room and the windows open to let fresh air in ! If you are traveling thru the area please stay here !

This is a old and historic bed and breakfast with lovely owners. It was a great location for walking downtown. It was cozy for my mother/daughter weekend. The breakfast was yummy and delivered to our door. The only criticism I have is that the cleaning of the bathroom could be improved. Specifically the floor behind the toilet, and the back of the cabinet over the toilet were bad, as if nobody had cleaned there in a very long time. Otherwise, everything was great.

We had a great stay at this cozy little cottage with our two pups. The check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been easier. There are lots of thoughtful touches like a coffee maker, nice mugs (coffee pods and creamer provided!), and a small microwave and mini fridge. Even water/food bowls and a blanket for pets! Plenty of bath towels, washclothes, etc. are provided, as well as toiletries for the bathroom. There is lots of hot water for the shower and great lighting for getting ready. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Short drive to downtown Placerville. We definitely would stay here again for a short trip!
