Our stay at Royalton Splash was an absolute delight! The amenities were top-notch, and the food selection was simply incredible. We particularly savored the Rio Brazilian Restaurant, which was truly exceptional. Guillermo, the chef at Tepanyaki Sushi Restaurant, was an absolute entertainer, and the food was simply delectable. Franco at the pool bar was also fantastic. The staff, in general, was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay truly enjoyable. However, we did encounter a few disappointments. The Hunters Steakhouse food left us wanting, and the concierge staff was a bit overbearing. We were repeatedly stopped by different staff members, and we had to politely inform them that we had already spoken to them and simply wanted to relax and enjoy our stay.

Overall, we made great memories but there were several areas that need improvement: timeshare sales are very pushy, limited poolside seating, not all inclusive pool and beach beds, water sports, massages, spa and many other ammenities.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The butler service was helpful but some better than others. Food at buffet had good choices and my husband especially loved the soup! The dinners at the restaurants were below average. The water parks were great for the kids! Loved the coffee shop! Gym was nice and clean. Did not like the time share reps hounding you daily to sit for a presentation. Good service by the pools. VIP lounge/bar and buffet was incredibly worth the upgrade!!

Perfect Family Trip for 2 School-Aged Kids

We had a wonderful time! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! The conditions were great within the hotel complex, however, the beaches had a lot of seaweed and the fear of a crocodile nearby kept us out of the ocean and limited our time on the beach. The amenities for kids were perfect for my family. I have a 7 and 10-year-old and my kids loved the slides, pools, trampoline area, activities for kids from the Kids Club, and lazy river a lot! We had a nice hotel room with a hot tub on the patio and that was a nice addition to our stay! All and all, it was the perfect place for my family!

At Room receive the floor had several spots of fresh blood. We have to go to reception twice in order to get a cleaner room ( and I’m traveling with an infant) 2 hours later we’re able to move to the clean room. Beside that incident every thing was good. No manager or supervisor came to talk to us or apologize. That was very disappointing

Id like to start with saying we have stayed in Cancun 12 times, over 7 different resorts over the past decade, so we understand the good and bad things to expect, meshing every resort has good and bad things.. it comes with the territory but you usual over look the bad because off beautiful weather and normally friendly service .. I do wish I could at least think of 1 or 2 positive things to say. I guess you could say the water was wet and the sand was sandy but besides that it was a huge disappointment. We signed up for the Diamond club, which you almost have to do at any of these resorts if you want to make dinner reservations or get a chair at pool.. we are fine with that, it’s part of the trip. But this place has over 1,000 rooms and about 500 pool chairs, we had a person poolside at 6:15 AM every morning at the “members” only diamond pool and 3/4 or more of the chairs were taken… As far as the pool, it was the scene from Caddyshack, where the exclusive pool lets in the Caddies for a hour.. there were people piled all over each other, literally families who decided the entire pool was their own, throwing balls, frisbees and whatever else the entire length of the pool, didn’t matter if another 50 people were between the parent and kid, they would just keep throwing the ball, hitting people, and it wasn’t just one family, or one day.. constant. Kids jumping off furniture into the pool, no matter if the were jumping 6 inches from you..and if you ask them to stop

Great hotel for kids, rooms have a decent size and the staff is really friendly. The food was my only "issue", it's not bad, but just let's say above average.

The buffet was not clean They mix a lot of food on the grills Plates was very old Cups at the bars was very old and dirty Coffee shop gives you the cake to eat in a napkin Asked for a drink at the beach bar the bartender wouldn’t serve me because I was not a diamond club member Water park is very unsafe No servers at the buffet No spot at the restaurants No spots at the pool chairs No staff to help you Long wait at check in
