Friendly staff on check in. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was like laying on a slab of stone it was that hard. The room had lots of noise transfer from the room above and shook when someone slammed their door shut. No water in room which given the price was a surprise. Breakfast buffet cost was expensive for what was on offer. Asked if they could do a decaf coffee and all I got offered was an instant Nescafé. Most hotels now will do a decaf coffee given they have multiple options of tea on offer.
Room all pre-paid with a non-refundable payment, but hotel insisted on £30 deposit at check in, due to be refunded at check out. Two weeks later and still waiting...Took the edge off an otherwise decent stay.

Very underwhelming and poor check in experience
Painful late night checking, very poor communication between staff, attempted to take payment again for a pre paid booking, took 10 minutes at 11pm for the check in staff to concede the booking had already been paid for. Very average room, cheap price but no better than a travel lodge, won’t be coming back
We had a couple of issues mainly around breakfast. We were charged twice and then we queried it and were told that”we had a breakfast and just didn’t want to pay for it”, by a member of the staff who at the time was being supervised by the duty manager. He was asked by the duty manager and myself to allow her to deal with the matter. It then escalated to the member of staff coming out from the desk and up into my chest as if to square up to me and was very threatening. I said I was thinking of calling police to which he then said he was calling them first on me, which he then did. I’d love management of the Moxy Hotel or Hotels.com to get in contact with me to investigate this incident as we would never expect to be treated this way and hope you will endeavour to make sure this person does not get away with treating returning guests or any person like we were treated.
The manager and staff member refused to give me any way of identifying them, I asked for names which were refused, even guest names. They also would not provide me with any worker ID. I expecting police to be chasing us for absolutely nothing :-o
I loved the Hotel and the staff were amazing. They went out of their way to help us with a luggage problem. We couldn’t have asked for more! They were wonderful and very accommodating.
