Should you decide to visit Pombeira, a little pre-planning is a good idea, because there's not an abundance of hotel choices near the city heart.

Pombeira isn't renowned as being the hotel capital of Santarem, however the Apartamentos do Lago is close enough to the town centre to please most travellers.

After you've explored Pombeira, you should make time to soak up the wider region of the Centro area. Visit the ruins, castles and traditional villages in Centro, and enjoy the area's beaches and coastal plains. Before you say "catch ya later" to Santarem, ensure you experience some sport. Find Estadio Cidade de Coimbra to the north of Pombeira. The Quinta Das Lagrimas and the Tivoli Coimbra are near the action.
