A short-stay business trip, but what a treasure to find! Friendly, clean, tidy, with a good selection of beers and something on the menu to suit any taste. Everything laid out next day for an early (06:30) breakfast getaway.

Great pub in a lovely little village.

Our second stay at the White Hart, this time with two other couples. A very characterful old hotel in a nice little town, convenient for exploring north west Somerset or into Devon. Being an old building there are some quite steep stairs and no lift but this did not cause us any issues. Breakfast was a good cold buffet. At the time we visited there was no chef (last time we had dinner at the hotel) but we all had dinner all three nights at the Bear Inn over the road (good food, wide menu, its own Black Bear brewery, tables reservable). A couple of other restaurants in Wiveliscombe appeared on the internet but had closed. Old building but kept clean. Appreciated tea and coffee making supplies being topped up. Dog friendly.

We stayed for 1 night. Staff and hotel were excellent, the kids bed was a bit small and uncomfortable for a 10 year old but the overalll stay was great and food was lovely in the restaurant. We didn’t get to try breakfast unfortunately as we had to leave at 7.30am and breakfast didn’t start till 8am

Great place in a really peaceful location.
