Reception and the check in process was very unorganised and chaotic in the reception area. There was nowhere to know where to wait or who was available to help. The room had a bit of a strange smell, a bit like mold. The room and bathroom was very dated and furniture/ decor mismatched. The best part of our room was the view of the beach from our room.

Our room was spacious, and generally quite clean. Nice to have a fan available for the bedroom as there wasn’t an air conditioner (or tv) in there. Bathroom/shower recess was a little moldy/dirty. Fridge frosted up and not closing properly. Staff were very helpful. Great location, some of the surrounds lacking maintenance/cleaning. Gardens old and unkept. Stairwells/passageways needing cleaning/maintenance. Gave off a tired feel.

The kitchenette area had cobwebs in the corners and the floor was sticky. The bathroom had no exhaust fan so the walls were damp and you couldn't use the mirror after a shower. I recommend a pest spray as we killed 3 spiders in the room. One was actually in our bed. I was also really disappointed to be charged additional fees for bedding for the sofa and we didn't even get given a pillow with the bedding we had to pay extra for. I had a booked a room to sleep 3. Upon check in I was told "Expedia" is third party booking and doesn't specify the extra charge for bedding. For the price I paid I expected a bit more high end and accomodating.

The room while big was quite dark. The shower was full of sand from the previous guests I imagine (I have photos of this for reference if needed). The ceiling fan needs repairing and it has a constant clicking noise and the air conditioner controls batteries were flat which required me to climb on a chair to operate.
