Amazing house

Just returned from our stay at this beautiful house. We would like to say what a wonderful time we had. The house was perfect and the outside area, the surrounding was very beautiful and very quiet with access to amazing pools and we could not have wished for anything better. All communication with Ian was very fast and no problems at all. More than 20 years that we spend holidays in portimao, and for sure the best house and host that we had. looking forward to come back soon. Thank you.

The good and the bad

We stayed for 2 weeks as a family of 3 adults and one small child. The Good: The apartment is spacious and well located. Everything (grocery stores, gas stations, beaches, restaurants, shopping mall) all less then 15 minute drive away. There was a small welcome "basket" in the unit upon checking in, which was nice and appreciated. No issues with parking, there was always a spot available. Well stocked if you have small children (highchair, beach toys, and a new addition of a small umbrella stroller we left behind). Well stocked with extra towels and sheets. The Bad: The apartment was not well cleaned. There was long hair all over the floor, stains on the couches, some of the sheets smelled of body odor. The last thing you want to do after a 7 hour drive is clean and change laundry, so VERY disappointed on this front. When the cleaning service came through at the half way point of our vacation, I noticed she changed all the sheets, but not all the mattress covers. The mattress covers she did remove, she didn't replace with a clean one. Why?? Although the kitchen was "well stocked", it was very disorganized and many of the kitchen items are broken, dented, scratched and are due to be replaced. There wasn't a single extra roll of toilet paper or paper towel provided. Never rented a unit that doesn't have at least one extra roll especially when the one provided is already half used up. A/C worked but had a musty smell, the filter probably needs to be cleaned.

Comfortable

Property is in Oasis Parque and backs on to the central Leisure area. This was fine except for one afternoon where they held some kind of outdoor disco which was loud. There is a small garden which was nice. The welcome pack of bread, butter, milk etc was unexpected and greatly appreciated after a late arrival. The beds were fantastic- easily the most comfortable that I have experienced in the Algarve. The only thing we didn’t enjoy were the metal shutters on every window which were required to be in place whenever we were out. These were very fiddly at first and meant the apartment never got natural sunlight so was very cold throughout although three oil heaters were provided and these were great. TV never worked at any time but this didn’t bother us. Thanks

Holiday at Oasis Parque

So sorry Ian but nice though the property was, it badly let us down in a lot of ways. It was advertised as being wheelchair friendly but it was very difficult pushing a wheelchair on a path that took us past the downstairs bedrooms of the next door apartment in order to get to the pavement in order to get into the car without using the steps. The kitchen cupboards were filled with so many plates, dishes, cups etc that we had nowhere to put our groceries, except for the fridge, which was being used for bottles of wine, beer and cold drinks because on arrival the temperature was over 30 degrees for the first 4/5 days. We’ve never seen so many kids toys in an apartment before and there were boxes of them. We couldn’t find a sunshade anywhere so we had to buy one with a stand as it was so hot. We later did find one but there was no stand making it useless for us. Also, as pensioners 70+ we were not able to reach the cupboards with the plates in etc., without standing on a chair or ladder which at our age, we were loathe to do. However, the main gripe was that we were not told before booking that there was no maid service halfway through our 2 week holiday. It was halfway into our second week when we found a note in the pantry. However, there was no mention of how the bedding was to be washed and dried. We have stayed at this complex 3 times now and this is the first time we’ve been asked to change our own bedding. We have always enjoyed these apartments in the past but are seriously considering not using them again.

overall a very good property with plenty of facilities.

Best beds we have ever slept in for a rental property. very well equipped, great communication with the owner although the reception staff are a little frosty. The Bar staff and the catering on site was exceptional especially on a Thursday evening when a Band came in to the Bar but you must book a table.

Brilliant stay, would recommend and stay again

The apartment was everything we needed and more. Everything was really clean, the garden was a massive bonus as the 11 month old could crawl around. We didn’t cook in the apartment as the cafe onsite was easier for 2 of the 5 nights. We checked in late and the keys were easy to get and the apartment easy to find. We will definitely keep this place in mind for further trips. We found we needed the hire car to get places but there is ample parking and everything is a short drive away and a few nice Reston walking distance. We heard back from the owner promptly and all our questions were answered

We loved the Oasis complex and the apartment. The Oasis is ran by friendly and helpful staff starting with Paula and Carla in the office who helped us book two great excursions and Emma and Sylvia in the café who put on fun bbq nights. The apartment was well stocked with everything one needs. It is spacious and clean. Could not have asked for anything more. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Top Modern Apartment

We had an enjoyable 11 day stay at this modern bright apartment in April 2019 and couldn't fault it. Enclosed garden great as safer with our 2 small ones. Apartment gets afternoon / evening sun which is always a bonus for us. Warm indoor pool was highlight of the adjoining area which came in handy when the weather dipped for a couple of days.

The apartment is well placed for amenities on the site. Well equipped and clean. The garden area is a bonus where you can relax in the sun. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would highly recommend. Hope to return again in the autumn.

Quiet, clean, convenient, beautiful...

I had a bit of trouble finding it at first, but I clicked the address link in the Home Away UK app, which doesn't have a space before the first '99'. There; if you're reading this now you know how to get to the best possible property you could hope for. The location was perfect for us, a family of 5 with all the children under 10. It was safe, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. All the amazing places we saw were all within a 15 minute drive. At the end of the day, it was like coming home to your own personal space, away from the noise and busy hustle of the heavy tourist areas. The owner is kind and helpful, and responds almost immediately to any questions or concerns. 10 out of 10! We'll be coming back ASAP!

Excellent apartment in a great location

We visited this apartment and Oasis Parque in early May 2018 and were very pleased with both. The apartment exceeded expectations and I really can't fault it. It was bright and airy, very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of spare bedding and towels if needed. There is a utility room with extra bits and bobs, such as toys and cool bag, which were useful. There were additional oil filled heaters as well as the over-the-door air con/heat units for the cool nights and mornings. The TV had lots of English channels. Oasis Parque is in a lovely peaceful district just a few minutes drive from Portimão and Alvor (both well worth visiting time and again). The indoor and outdoor pools and surrounding areas were very clean and well maintained and there were plenty of sun loungers to choose from around the pools and in a small, hedged secluded area (and plenty of sunshine with temps of 25°C+ to enjoy). We were there early in the season, so the Country Club was very quiet and peaceful and we often had the outdoor areas to ourselves. I guess if you're there in July/August it would be a lot busier. The outdoor pools were too cold for me tho the kids were happy to go in and had a great time. The Jacuzzi was fab. There is a coffee shop/restaurant which local friends told me serves great English breakfast and is one of their favourite places to meet up for coffees mid morning. We arrived after 11pm, tired and thirsty and went to the cafe where we were warmly greeted and were able to buy some beer & G&Ts to take back to the apartment as well as some bottled water and milk for morning brews. There are several supermarkets within a few minutes drive to stock up on essentials. Overall, if you're wanting somewhere to stay for a relaxing break with on site food & drink yet close enough to beaches and shopping then this apartment on Oasis Parque ticks all the boxes. Even if you've not hired a car, taxi fares are cheap so it's no problem to visit any of the great places nearby. I know where I'll be staying next time I need an apartment in this area of the Algarve!
