Stains on bed & old cream cheese/trash

We checked in and found a stain(blood?)on one bed coverlet and a large dirty area on the other bed's coverlet. Called front desk to tell them what we saw. They offered to move us into a different room, so we did. The next room had a wastebasket that was overflowing with trash, a half bagel with old, cracked cream cheese on it, soda bottle, etc. Called front desk again. They sent 2 housekeepers to empty the waste basket. Housekeeping was definitely lacking since the cream cheese on the bagle looked old enough to have been there more than one day.

The hotel was clean however parking was an issue and our toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush and when I tried calling the front desk to report it as we were in our pajamas. The phone didn’t work. When I reported the issue at the front desk the next morning, the front desk said “I’ll report it to maintenance. Didn’t ask for our room number or name. No phone or proper working toilet. We had to manually take the back off of the toilet to pull the chain to flush it. I won’t book there again.

Audra was amazing! She went out of her way to help us. She helped my husband plan a running route that had him running on a beautiful trail next to the Columbia. He had a great run! She is friendly and helpful.

Not the cleanest

Had dog prints on bedding but they switched our room for us , next room there was crumbs in bathroom and some hair but cleaner then first room the window was unlocked and the roof thing had foot prints , beer cans cigarettes on in and freaked me and my daughter out but checked the room to make sure nobody was in the room and just called it good since we had a thing in the morning . We have stayed here before and didn’t have an issue but this time just wasn’t very clean .

Mostly regarding room. Maybe the Vancouver WA property is a little old. No vanity in bathroom so no place to put our toiletries etc, toilet water ran after flushing and knob needed to be jiggled which was annoying, bed was soft so not comfortable to sleep. Location very good, breakfast was good but Day 2 ran out of bagels. Was able to check in early which was nice
