I’ve enjoyed my stay both times I’ve come to this hotel. Love the free daily cocktail and appetizers and the continental breakfast with the custom omelets is great- the reason why we keep coming back. Our only issue, is that both times we have stayed at the property- we have been woken up by a 6 am alarm clock that we didn’t set. Now, 6 isn’t outrageously early..but when the parents get a kid free night in the city, we’d like to be able to enjoy sleeping in as late as we’d like.

Property was nice. The person who checked me in did a really great job. Coffee in the room was not so great and in the common areas the coffee in the carafes was cold. Breakfast buffet could have been better. There was one person making omelettes and the line of people was very long. There were not a lot of other options as no one was refilling bread or other dishes. I couldn’t tell you what else was available as the dishes were completely empty and display next to the toaster was empty.

When we went to portland the first time 3 years ago, we went to a nice hotel but the surroundings were less than ideal. Oxford was great place to stay at as it is separate from the main part of Portland. The hotel was clean, the staff and front desk were helpful. The breakfast really helps a lot as you dont need to worry about food in the morning. All in all, i wouldnt think twice about staying here again. It also borders Vancouver Washington so its a quick drive to the waterfront if you want to stroll or have some dining options. I recommend Oxford at Jantzen beach as this place gives you value for money with a great place to stay and great staff
