Make no mistake this is a luxury hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful; attentive, professional, friendly and polite at all times. It was evident that much time, money and consideration had been given to the the design and decoration of the both the rooms and the common areas which felt contemporary and stylish. The restaurant was exceptionally good, the best hotel restaurant I have eaten in by a long way. The menu wasn't too large, which is a very good sign, but the food was outstanding. I have no hesitation to highly recommend BessaHotel Baixa and I would love to stay there again. Thank you! Ziggy

Staff are very nice and accommodating. They helped me with my Portuguese and knew what I wanted each morning. Additionally I developed a tooth ache and they got me a dentist who spoke English 15 minutes later. The following day they checked up on me! I recommend them highly!

The indoor pool and health club area is fantastic. The also offer some select balcony units with their own hot tubs. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Another winner from our last trip to Portugal.

It was my sisters birthday weekend trip and this hotel was a diamond in the rough. We could not have expected such beautiful finishes in every area of the hotel. Very impressed. And the staff at reception could not have been more helpful. The young man at reception took us through the activities available, sightseeing trips, best shopping areas and places of interest.

lovely modern hotel with great swimming pool, bar and lounge but the key assets are the great staff who are very friendly and helpful with great language skills. all were very good especially Lea, Rui and Luis. One unusual attraction are three lovely young black cats who have adopted the courtyard of the hotel. the staff have had them given their injections and they are looking sleek and plump

3 day ciry break

3 nights in Porto, more than did the job. Very comfy room and staff were very welcoming and helpful with sightseeong advice. The pool and sauna area are lovely, especially in the evening. We would definitely come back.

The room was clean and tidy. However, the layout and practicality of the room was a little bit of an inconvenience. Wardrobe hangers were available, but you couldn't move them anywhere where the air is flowing, as they were fixed to one location (Hostile architecture). We couldn't hang our jackets to dry after getting soaked from the rain.
