The hotel location is in a convenient, scenic location, which is perfect for exploring Porto and the wider Gaia area. Facilities are excellent with a good varied breakfast and thoroughly clean room. I arrived in Porto following a 3 night stay in Lisbon, during which I was unfortunately pickpocketed, resulting in theft of my phone. The staff at Porto River Soul Hotel were excellent in understanding my situation after I explained and they provided me with telephone facilities for any calls I required to make. Overall they made a difficult trip slightly easier and also provided me with recommendations on things to do in Porto. It's a shame I couldn't enjoy this trip so much due to circumstances which couldn't be helped but the staff at this hotel deserve a lot of praise for how they treated me. I would definitely recommend staying here, for the wider facilities of the hotel, it's location and value for money, as well as the friendly service which is provided to the guests.

Beautiful hotel in prime location overlooking the river and Porto. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room perfect. Just a 3 minute walk to the Dom Luís I Bridge giving you access to all of Porto. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff and service were great. The reason for my review is that this property advertises amenities they do not have. I booked this property and paid a premium price for what I thought I would get to enjoy on the property. Please note they do not have the following: sauna, steam room, indoor pool, washcloths, room service, or what you would call a dining restaurant. I did mention to the staff that it was disappointing to list perks when they are unavailable.

Room was quite spacious. Hotel staff is very good. Didn't eat breakfast so can't address that. Great location just a few minutes walk for Douro river. Cons: Room furnishings a bit minimalistic. Nice little outdoor patio only had ONE chair which was weird for a room for 2. plenty of room for them to include a small desk area with maybe a hot pot/coffee.

Stunning hotel in an amazing location! So easy to get over to the “Porto” side but also great location for accessing the cellars and park etc of Gaia. The hotel is spotless, very well thought out and considered and has good amenities. The breakfast is worth paying for! The views are great, staff very friendly and we would not hesitate to come back. The only criticism is that it would be good to have access to a coffee machine in room/ in a shared area as I feel other hotels at a similar price point offer this and we did miss this in our stay but that’s a very minor point! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay
