Not how I remember 😉

Excellent experience considering it has been 48 years since I was last there! From checking in until I checked out 5 days later, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly & helpful staff, rooms clean and well appointed, food was lovely. A thoroughly good time was had.

The hotel feels like the management team have no intention of investing into the building or its standards. Outdated, over priced, poor condition of rooms and don't get me started on breakfast…….Absolutely shocking unless your a 4 legged dog that hasn’t eaten for a week…..

We were lucky ish and stayed in the “new” wing. Smelled of paint and was very basic. If ibhad been give a room in the old part I would have stayed somewhere else!! Rude front desk staff. Walked straight past our free breakfast for obvious reasons. Old, dated and needs a huge overhaul

Very comfortable and in an excellent position for the dockyard and Quays. More of a “club” atmosphere with friendly staff. We particularly appreciated the reserved parking space as I hold a blue badge . Thank you

Another good visit.

I use The Maritime, every time I visit Portsmouth. It is clean, tidy, the staff are friendly, the room is comfortable and the water is hot.

Hotel is in a very good location for the center of Portsmouth and the dock area very close to trains if needed it has good meals and good rooms down side parking can be an issue limited parking and it doesn't have two many views but I would go back and stay there again

The RMH is a former sailers club turned into a hotel. It has an extensive library of books about sailing and the British Navy. If yiure a fan if British Naval history, you could spend hours there. We also found the restaurant to be excellent and ate our evening meal there twice. Menu selection was excellent, reasonably priced and food was good. Staff were very friendky and helpful especially Lucy at the front desk and Arpranna in the restaurant

Clean but dared

Just an overnight stay after docking from the ferry late at night. Hotel receptionist extremely friendly and helpful. Room clean but quite dated as seems to be the rest of the hotel. Breakfast quite good especially if you like a full English. Parking could possibly be an issue, very limited free hotel parking and pay parking on the street limited. Overall fine for an overnight clean and tidy but definitely not luxury but for the price ok.

Nice hotel with good location

Nice hotel with spacious room. Good location. Easy walking distance to Naval Dockyard & Gunwharf Quay. Definitely would stay here again & would feel comfortable recommending this hotel.
