Our stay at the Alchymist was magical. The staff is incredible, you feel well-cared for from the moment you arrive. The breakfast had a wide selection of fresh and delicious food options. The room was clean and so comfortable. You can notice the details of the property, down to the Alchymist logo on the lamp and the foot of the poster bed. The spa amenities were lovely, so nice to use the sauna and steam room, and the antique Chinese daybed is unique.

An Enchanting Stay in the Heart of Old Prague

From the very first step into this grand hotel, we were embraced by an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The staff, with their warm smiles and thoughtful attention, made us feel less like guests and more like cherished friends returning home. The interiors whispered stories of a glorious past — chandeliers shimmering like captured starlight, velvet furnishings caressing the senses, and each corner a testament to refined artistry. Nestled in the beating heart of Prague’s Old Town, history unfolded just beyond the door: cobblestone lanes, gilded spires, and the gentle music of the city’s soul. It was more than a stay — it was a romance with a place. We will return, for part of our hearts now resides here.

Great hotel. Terrible pillows not comfortable for sleeping. Bed way too firm no spring to the mattress makes it hard to fall asleep. Other than the bed and pillows everything else is wonderful. Great rain shower, the best. The bed and pillows need to be plushy, not plushy at all. Sad because the hotel is a beautiful artwork in itself. Get better pillows and a better mattress and your hotel will get 5 star ratings all the time. Nonetheless, Prague in itself was and is beautiful!

A lovely stay with bathroom restrictions

We stayed in a family suite, room 303. There isn’t really anywhere to sit, just two bedrooms with a dining area in one. There also isn’t a stand up shower, so you have to sit in the bath to wash your hair. Luckily the the shower is very powerful but it’s still not ideal. A very small bathroom space for a family of four to share. The overall look and feel of the hotel is lovely though, very traditional and boutique.

This one!!!

The location is great! A short walk to Charles bridge and great restaurants. Rooms are beautiful, air conditioned and clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was very nice in an amazing setting. They offer a valet and we were so thankful for that. Would highly recommend!

Loved this charming old hotel. While the property is more than 500 years old, it is well kept and clean. The breakfast has very nice choices and is in a very elegant setting. It’s very close to Charles Bridge. Definitely recommend

Lovely stay in Prague

We had a lovely welcome and all the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was in a nice quiet location. Beautiful decor and the pool area was very clean.

Excellent hotel

Opposite the USA embassy and a very attractive and well maintained hotel. I loved the ambiance of it and the staff were very helpful particularly the Italian lady in the restaurant and the Spa lady who was very helpful. If we came back to Prague this is where we would stay.

The hotel is gorgeous! The staff were friendly and the complimentary prosecco was a wonderful welcome. We loved the room; it was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the AC! Breakfast staff was welcoming and the food was good. We also really loved the location of this hotel in relation to Charles Bridge, the Palace, tram stop and restaurants. It was not overly crowded and yet everything felt convenient. We did not have the opportunity to eat lunch or dinner onsite but am sure it was as wonderful as the rest of this fabulous property.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was beautiful- lots of getaway space and dining options. Rooms were well appointed and turned down each night as well as towels changed out in Eve. Complimentary Happy hour 430-5 . Great spread for breakfast with delicious coffee and food. Staff were very helpful. Lovely spa on the ground floor where we treated ourselves to a massage. Conveniently located but felt you were in a private oasis. Highly recommend

Overpriced considering customer service/unclean.

The location is perfect and the decor is very elegant but… The customer service was horrible. Staff were complaining and bickering near lobby when one customer asked when/where breakfast was. Took travel documents in other room including credit card for 15 minutes which makes people anxious due to fraud. Inside room - walls and by door handle dirty. Hair on “clean” face towels. Slippers stuck to the floor as walked. Breakfast food was not very good. Breakfast staff was very sweet and helpful.
