Hobbit House of The Owl is a stunning, super-luxurious holiday lodge situated in the heart of The Ribble Valley. it is a large, superbly equipped, modern, chic and very cosy lodge that’s ideal for getaway weekends, family holidays or visiting friends and family. New for the 2025/26 season, it is the newest addition to our Hobbit lodges portfolio.
House Of the Owl is situated in a newly developed part of the park enjoying an exclusive, very quiet elevated position overlooking the nearby reservoirs. It is equipped to a very high standard including, full gas central heating, luxury linens and towels, a king-size and 2 full adult-size single beds. It boasts a super terrace/balcony to enjoy outdoor drinks and dining or just simple relaxation. There is also an additional gated decking to the side which allows precious pooches the freedom of outside whilst being kept safe and secure. Guests have us of the nearby indoor pool.
The kitchen has all modern amenities including dishwasher, washing machine, 5 ring gas hob, full-size fridge freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker etc.
The lounge has 2 large comfy sofas, flat-screen TV and DVD player with a range of DVD’s, plus children’s games. A cot can be supplied on request.
This really is a home from home, allowing for stylish open air summer vacations to cozy indoor winter living with all the amenities of a luxury home. There is ample parking for 2 cars alongside the lodge.
House Of the Owl is ideal for riverside rambles, fine local dining or just peace and quiet. Nearby is The Forest of Bowland – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with some of the most scenic landscapes in the country, it's been called ‘Britain’s best kept secret’.
It’s from here you can journey to ‘The Centre of The Kingdom’ and follow in the footsteps of Tolkein along the nearby Tolkein Trail - the area that inspired J.R.R. Tolkein for Lord of The Rings. You can visit Pendle, made famous by the most notorious witch trials in English history, and visit ‘Witches Galore’, who sell ‘all kinds of deliciously devilish merchandise’ - great for kids. But if you don't want to go far, there's the large, heated indoor swimming pool on site, together with crazy golf and daily activities for kids and adults during the holiday season.
The area has some of the most unique and diverse dining to be found anywhere in the country. From award-winning pies at the Parkers Arms – featured on the Hairy Bikers, to gastro dining at the Inn at Whitewell – a favourite of H.M. The Queen. And if you want to travel further afield, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Blackpool are all within an hour by car.
