Calm & tranquility on the edge of a small alley, in the heart of a typical picturesque little town, with exotic charm & notable heritage (15th century church, astonishing washhouse in the shape of a Greek temple, traditional Burgundian houses, several mansions, etc.). Nestled in the countryside on the edge of fields & meadows, once famous for its pink stone quarries (used in the construction of many eminent buildings in Burgundy, including the elegant, world-famous Romanesque abbey of nearby Tournus), this former wine-growing village enjoys a splendid unspoilt countryside & natural setting, nestled between the banks of the Saône and the Bois de Fouget, a vast forest sheltering the La Truchère Nature Reserve, a unique biotope in Burgundy, rich in an astonishing variety of environments (sand dune , marshy pond, wooded peat bog, fresh forests…), magical landscapes as well as a rare animal & plant ecosystem.
