Very nice stay

Great stay, centrally located, friendly staff, nice coffee/cookie/water/ hot chocolate service 24/7. Nice to have full breakfast included. Gym was adequate, room was spacious, bathroom was fine, water was very slow to get hot, but otherwise it was all a nice place to stay and would stay again.

I thought the Hotel was good, and convenient to many places and all walking distance. Hotel breakfast was ok the bar in the evening was not available that was a disappointment, the Saturday we stayed it was a private event, understandable, but Sunday it wasn't open. Some buildings in the area where run down, but overall I enjoyed my stay and would go back again.

The gem of downtown Providence

A wonderful couples stay! Friendly staff was super helpful. Great amenities like complimentary snack and drinks, nice breakfast, clean and working fitness center. All in a perfect location in downtown Providence and 2 min walk from the PPAC!

Not as expected

The desk people are rarely there. The valet people are great though. The hotel pictures are not telling the whole story, the hotel looks old and not well maintained. The rooms are outdated and cleaning can be better. The carpet smells. There are homeless people across the street. We won’t come back.

Hotel Providence is a gem of a hotel! It is our go-to place to stay whenever we attend a show at the PPAC. (The theatre is literally a 5-minute walk done the street.) The hotel has an elegant, old-world vibe that we just love. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are super comfy, there is a nice gym, and the staff is helpful and genuinely friendly. We need to give a special shout-out to Elizabeth, who was incredibly welcoming and attentive when we first arrived. Then, later, when we walked in the door after seeing Life of Pi (a great play!), Elizabeth again greeted us with her beautiful smile and asked how the show was. She reminded us that coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies (delicious!) were available, and would we like a water or a soda? I also want to mention that upon check-in, we were given an upgrade which was a wonderful surprise, and we loved staying in the Nathaniel Hawthorne suite. We also received a $15 food chip which we used at the on-site restaurant. The food was great, and Nathaniel, our server, gave us exceptional service. We are really looking forward to staying at the Hotel Providence again soon!
