I loved this older hotel and appreciated how it had been kept in great shape. My room was very quiet and the staff was very helpful. Location downtown was very convenient for dining and the airport.
Dreadful stay. In the room opposite they were smoking (non smoking hotel) and set the alarm off in the middle of the night.
The room floor was dirty.
Not an enjoyable stay
Excellent staff. Wished Coffee was available in the morning though.

It is a charming boutique hotel in downtown Providence. My firsy impression i was a bit worried. The lobby area didn't feel clean, the orginal tiled floors of the historic building looked like they needed to be mopped and the hip modern navey velvet sofas could have done with a vaccum, the black enamel community table needed a wiped down with a cleaner and cloth. General house keeping for the beautifully decorated space filled with exquisitely curated collectibles, modern touches and art monographes and magzines. Thankfully all of that need care in the public space was found in our guestroom, which made for a good rest night sleep. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a cool modern/vintage vibe. The shower was tiny and only had a rain shower head from directly above my head making it award as i didn't need to wash my hair. I'd book another stay at the Neptune and Ash i enjoyed its sophisicated modern loft aesethetic.
The Dean Hotel is one of the few that will still offer to clean and straighten up you room daily. I did not necessarily need that, but I am thankful that it was offered. And, it was a pleasantly different place to stay.

Great property. Wish the cafe was open, but it was still amazing. Super room. Nice bedding. Great furniture. Wonderfully attentive staff
The room was spartan, no closet or bureau. Two hooks held 3 hangers each. No refrigerator. The only wastebasket was a little one in the bathroom. Until the maid changed the linens on the 3d morning of our stay, the was a smell of urine.
The shower had a curtain that billowed into the stall, but there was a rain shower head, lots of pressure and hot water. Our first 2 nights, we had only bath towels. Hand towels came when we had maid service.
The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows.
We have to apply to the City for a parking refund as there were no spots available in the lot next to the hotel after we paid. We had to pay for that lot and the nearby structure as a result.
