This was the second year in a row we took a family vacation and stayed at Sensira. Unfortunately the quality was not as good this year. Many of the events were cancelled, the mechanical bull was not operating the entire trip although we were told it would be open on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, two restaurants were closed and those that were open did not have all food available even though listed on the menus. Even the kids club didn’t have the events on time or at all. The staff were still friendly, especially Anna, Henry and Juan. We still had a good time, but it was noticeably poorer quality than last year at this time.

Overall we loved our stay at Sensira. I came with my husband and 4 year old daughter. The property is perfect for families with young kids looking for beach and pool time. It’s about 20 minutes from Cancun so it’s kinda remote from shopping/other activities. We did do some day excursions through the resort but plan for that to be an all day thing if you do go. The resort staff was overall kind and helpful. I do feel like they could communicate better as a hotel about activities, hours of different activities, etc. We arrived and were not notified ahead of time of the kids pool being under a remodeling project. I feel that would have been a nice touch to inform guests about since it is a big part of the family experience at the resort. Also, bring change/small bills because change for larger bills because it’s virtually impossible to find. I would recommend for families with kids up to like 8.

Overall, good place for the price. Food options are very good. The place is overall in great physical shape. Just a bummer the water park and trampoline area was closed due to repairs-would have been good to know before going. One of the pools gets cold due to the bridge above it covering it-bad design. People are friendly but appear short staffed in restaurants. Too much seaweed in front of the resort. Again, overall good for the price.

Service for the Amber level was top notch! Food was just mediocre but we didn’t starve..lol. Everywhere was super clean. You want your tub filled at 9:15 with strawberries and wine? Just ask. There were A LOT of children but we were on the adults only side and there were less than 10 people at our pool at all times. Plenty of sun beds and loungers at both the pool and on the beach. The best place ever if you like low key rest and relaxation. Want a great party? Not your place.

We stayed at Sensira Resort to celebrate my girlfriend birthday, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. This was our first all-inclusive experience, and it absolutely set the bar. We stayed in one of the Amber Suites — a beautiful, spacious room that instantly made us feel pampered. From the moment we stepped off the shuttle, we were met with exceptional service. A welcoming team was ready to take our bags (think more high-end concierge than traditional “butlers”), and Rafael, our lead concierge, greeted us with cold towels and a warm smile. He then escorted us to the Amber Lounge for private check-in, complete with welcome drinks and small bites — the perfect start to our weekend. Throughout our stay, we had Rafael, Humberto, and Joao as our dedicated concierges, and they went above and beyond. From helping us settle into a private poolside cabana with drinks and fresh towels, to checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, their service was top-tier and never intrusive. Though the resort is family-friendly, Sensira does an amazing job of creating separate spaces for adults. We spent most of our time at the adults-only pool, which was serene and relaxing. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat — no overcrowding or noise, just great vibes and attentive staff. The food was another highlight. Most of the staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. While the property is a bit dated, it wasn’t terrible overall. However, we had two major issues during our stay: 1. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was for the kids’ water park. Unfortunately, we were surprised to find it closed for renovations when we arrived. There was no prior notice, which was very disappointing — had we known, we would’ve booked elsewhere. To make matters worse, they were spray painting the park during the day, forcing guests to deal with toxic fumes. No effort was made to compensate or even apologize for the inconvenience. 2. Apparently, the resort offers a weekend special for local residents. While Thursday was quiet and enjoyable, Friday became noticeably busier, and by Saturday and Sunday, the pool area was completely overcrowded. Even some of the staff mentioned how chaotic it gets when the locals come in. With so many resort options available, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
