Never going back

Horrible food selection. Horrible drink selection. Just a horrible experience. Staff tried hard to make things better, but overall it was not a good experience... Food and drinks get a 2 out of 10...

When he arrived he did not appear booking, expedia said they had not sent and handed me the room at 6:00 pm. When you reach the room they were cleaning up and let me in 15 minutes late

This is not a nice hotel. It is nothing like the advirtisement. Rooms are dirty, food is terrible, there is no entertaiment, and the staff was unpleasant.

My worst hotel experience - ever!

Called ahead twice to enquire about early check-in. Was told I would have to pay which I did on checking in around 1.15 pm but after having paid was told I could not go to my room until 3 pm. Had to insist on getting my room which some supervisor allowed in the end (after much fuss). This incident was very disturbing. Also, hotel advertises free wireless internet but does not say it's ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE LOBBY and NOT in your room. Absolutely ridiculous and dishonest advertising. Ask hotel to call a taxi and was told it would be there in 5 minutes as it was somewhere nearby. Taxi took about half an hour which caused me to be late for a wedding I was attending. Generally, the staff is dishonest and discourteous. I have travelled the world and this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had.

Hotel is in very bad shape, should be closed until new management takes over. Pool was dirty, lack of maintenance. Food was very limited. Birds on top of food.

Nightmare experience.

This place keeps changing its name because of how terrible it is. I picked it on a pinch but looking back I would pay anything to not stay there. I had a dead bird in the room when I walked in, no ac on a 90 degree weather, horrible check in, and the filthy pool and sheets horrible.

Hotel was disgusting!

Ac did not work, they were suppose to fix it and never did. Front desk staff was very rude. Bartenders were okay but were trying to be stingy with the "FREE alcohol"! The rooms were disgusting, looked like a motel. The pools I would not even go in because it was all children in there probably peeing. The beach was okay, but there were sand fleas and ants crawling all over us. The food was mediocre. Just not a place I would recommend to anyone, which is why the resort was 95% locals and maybe I saw 5 tourists from outside of Dominican Republic. All in all, experience was not a fun one. I would say it was memorable though because of how disgusting it was overall. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!!!!

This resort did not offer any comfort or worthy entertainment. At check-in they didn't have my reservation. I waited close to an hour for them to contact Expedia and resolve the issue. The food drinks are not even worth mentioning.

The hotel is out dated and in poor disrepair.The room conditions are horrible,unclean,and the service is terrible.The food leaves much to be desired and also unclean there was a fly in the soup casserole and the bar needs everything!This hotel should should not be in operation!!

My worst vacation iexperience n Playa Dorada

This resort has seen it's day. It needs a total renovation. The food was horrible and the selection was limited. The deserts were nothing special at all. The room was dismal. The bedding was hard and the room smelled of urine. I wouldn't house prisoners in this location. We all got very sick from the food. There was hardly any shows or interactive entertainment. I couldn't wait to leave.

I hope that no one has to experience thi s DUMP nothing worked in the room tv have no sound, no telephone line, no lights in the night table and the bathroom look like a pig place no hygiene, this hotel is not a 3 stat, is should be rated 0)

Really Disappointed!

The resort is really rundown and in spite of the great service staff was a really disappointing experience. The balcony door was permanently stuck closed. Didn't try the air conditioner but the room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. The food was adequate, not much choice and the birds were everywhere walking ON the food trays, all over the tables, which were not wiped or cleaned even from day to day, the same dirt and smeared bird droppings. Not much selection of food although the wait staff was wonderful, of course looking for tips, which they say aren't allowed BUT if you want good service??? The beach was nice, too many people and too much 'saving' of lounge chairs, sometimes for the entire day, so there was limited space to sit and relax. We were there on Sunday and Monday to visit our family that came down for the week from Canada and there was NO SHOW, NO ENTERTAINMENT, unless you call some drunks on the stage with the 'entertainment' crew, doing karaoke, entertainment. I DON"T> Drinks were plentiful but really watered down and NO Disco, which wasn't a bad thing for us as our room was really close, but what IF we had wanted to go out and dance and socialize. NOPE!! All in all this was a really costly and disappointing experience and my husband and I along with my Canadian family would NEVER consider returning here.

needs a lot of love

The room size was okay, but the room was seriously outdated. The food was not that great--but the beach was beautiful and close by. The service was okay unless you needed something-like the remote to your t.v. an iron (did not provide ironing board), or towels. Of course the staff provided these items-but we had to walk up and down three flights of stairs a few times. For the most part the staff was friendly, but their English was as about as good as my Spanish so that created a bit of a barrier. Hotel is severely outdated. I would rate it a 3.

Worst Hotel Ever

We asked to change rooms when we arrived since the one they gave us had a bad odor and was very old and out dated. Our second room had a broken bed and we had to wait until the next day to have it changed. We did ask for an updated room but were told that the resort was full. There was only 100-175 people at the resort and the resort has 418 rooms. The food was the worst I have ever had. It was cold and what wasn't used at lunch was put into a salad for supper. We did not know what half of the food was. I had a bite of beef one night and it smelled of feces. We never ate beef again. Breakfast was the same food for 7 days, never having bacon, only dried out buns and bread, something that looked like spam and potatoes. The only juice as orange juice which was a powder that was very diluted. When we expressed our concerns to the staff they did not care. This was the worst place we have ever stayed at and would not recommend it to anyone. The pool was soo murky you couldn't see the bottom. The grounds were unkept. We were told by some local people that the resort did not even pay their staff's wages.

Better than expected!

of course, there are thing that can be improved like the WIFI just because the Kids complained about it all the time. As for me and my wife, it was just what we need it. Beach, Good Food and a very safe area.
