Avoid at all costs! Time share scam and disgustingly dirty rooms. Immediately upon check-in, we were borderline harassed for our participation in a time share presentation the next morning at 8:30. After an exhausting day of travel, all we wanted was to get up to our room and get unpacked and changed but were forced to listen to a pitch for their “vacation club membership”. The presentation was positioned to us as being optional, however by 8 am the next morning the front desk had already called the room 3 times to remind us that a chauffeur was waiting to take us to the presentation we had signed up for at check in. After we had declined to participate we found we were treated very differently by the staff at the hotel. When we entered the room, we found it to be very dirty. Floors were sticky. The room Had a musty smell to it. We found black hairs around the sink and toe nail clippings left beside the tub!! We politely informed front desk who said they’d contact the hospitality manager to have our room cleaned again. After they cleaned, the black hairs and toe nails were missed and still in the room! At this point, we decided this was not the right place to spend our vacation. We booked another hotel in the Centro district and checked out 4 days early. Given the circumstances, we had hoped either Expedia or the hotel would provide a partial refund, however they declined and charged us the full amount of the stay. Needless to say, we will never be visiting again.

Very nice place. The pool and beach are amazing. The grounds are well taken care of and very very beautiful. The room we had faced the ocean and pool and was so nice. Cleaning lady came daily and did a great job! We loved our stay and would definitely return!

Hotel viejo, se nota en las habitaciones, baños feos. Cuando reservé el tipo de habitación tenía una foto del balcón con vista a la playa, aunque no lo especificaba, me confié pensando que eso me darían, pero la habitación que nos asignaron estaba al final, con una vista horrible a cuartos de máquinas y otros techos, llamé a recepción para solicitar un cambio de habitación y me dijeron que esa era la habitación que había reservado, pedí el precio de un upgrade, después de dármelo, solicité el cambio pero me dijeron que no podían porque eso no lo hacen en recepción, sino el personal de reservaciones que no trabaja el fin de semana, esto me parece increíble!!!! También me dieron un voucher por el tipo de socia de Hoteles.com, pero no lo puedes usar en servicio al cuarto, y para rematar, el día del check out, fuimos a desayunar y al regresar para recoger las maletas que ya estaban listas, no pudimos abrir, eran las 11:03, y resulta que a las 11am en punto bloquean el acceso, me parece de muy muy mal gusto. La playa bien, los camastros podrían estar más cómodos, la atención de meseros en los restaurantes bien y la comida bien. Sin embargo las malas experiencias le ganan, hay mejores opciones para ese precio, no vuelvo.

Didn’t receive any VIP benefits- no late checkout (10am), had to pay for breakfast which was an awful buffet @27$/day then you had to tip. Charged resort and get nothing for it!! No water or fridge or coffee in room - tired old property. No lobby cafe for quick grab n go. Pool wait staff was the only thing good about this place - Edgar, Tony, hector, efrhan. Guest services was rude unhelpful and mean - go next door to Westin much better!! Won’t return here - it’s a time share filled w families and old people

The outside areas of the property are beautiful and the property is walkable to the marina which has many options for food and shopping. The building itself is in dire need of an upgrade, we stayed in the grand suite as it was heavily discounted through Expedia however the room was dated, the toilet in one of the bathrooms was leaking, the room smelled like must. We did find a cockroach in our bathroom the first night but not again after I put towels under the doors to the outside. Our room was on the main floor and we were woken up often by other guests walking by our room. The staff and service were great for the most part, you can tell they treat them well as many had been working there for over 5 years, my only complaint about the staff was the guest services person that is also the one that tries to get you to go to the timeshare breakfast. She was very nice at first but quickly soured when we weren’t interested in the timeshare sales. If I could do it again I would have picked a newer resort instead for the same cost.

Le falta mucho mantenimiento al hotel, el check in dice que a las 4 pm que ya es tarde y entregaron la habitación a las 7 pm, el hotel no da ni gratis ni con cargo agua en la habitación y no avisan al hacer check in, hay que comprarla aparte y no ofrece ninguna manera de obtenerla dentro del hotel 24 hrs. Restaurantes y súper cierran 10 pm. El servicio de la recepción malo y sin ninguna intención ni de ayudar ni de resolver inconvenientes. No vale lo que cobran

This was our third visit (not a timeshare type of person - just love the resort.) The staff is incredibly professional, accomodating to the best of their ability and don't get me started on how amazing the restaurant, pool and beach staff is. We do recommend staying on the third floor or higher as the noise in the hallway was quite loud on the second floor. We moved to the third floor the 2nd week and I slept like a baby. This hotel isnt fancy shmancy but what it lacks in modernity - it makes up in authenticity. They have gorgeous pools, stunning grounds that are so well kept! They have laundry ammenities, tokens for 20 pesos each (1 per wash/dry = 40 pesos) available at the front desk. There are SO MANY restaurants just a short walk away from the hotel as well as a pool and hotel restaurant which serve a great variety of food of all kinds. My only complaint is that beach chair savers are a real problem and it can be really difficult (in the busy season) to get a spot at the beach. Apparently their Cabo location has stricter rules - towels are turned in at night which would really help and seems a bit more fair! Loved our stay overall and will be back!

We had the best time during our stay at Club Regina Puerto Vallarta. All of the staff was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our entire stay. We loved seeing the friendly faces of Demian, Jesus, Eddie and more throughout our stay and stopping in to visit with them. The property is conveniently located near the Marina and the airport, and Uber rides were also very easy to get when we wanted to venture into other areas of Puerto Vallarta. We ended up receiving VIP treatment that included an ocean view and late check out, as well as deals on dining at the resort. My mom & I definitely want to come back in the future and visit our friends at Club Regina!!!
