Close to the ocean and cheap but the beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were hard as a rock. Sirens all hours of the day. I'd recommend paying a little more and getting a better place.

The service was great. The food was OK. The cleanliness was good although the building is in need of updating and repair of steps. Furniture in room was broken and a little mold in bathroom. No elevator. No refrigerator or coffee maker in rooms. And we almost got fined because we spilled a little spot of juice on the sheet. We had to complain about this fine and the security guard had a picture of the spot. Really. So we took picture of all the problems in our room which we didn't complain about. They told us not to let it happen again. Oh my LOL. But over all it was fun. Enjoy!

We enjoyed Hacienda Buenaventura with all it's lovely charm and decor. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and there were good choices. The ease of bussing, taxi or Uber made going on any adventures easy. The beach was a quick little walk and the area set aside for their customers had nice chairs and umbrellas. Having a bar and snack grill there right on the beach was a nice treat too! We would come back!

Hotel has a nice pool and landscaping. Breakfast is best meal of the day. This year the hotel has added back Mexican ballet folkloric dancers to its Mexican fiesta on Saturday nights, and that was nice to see. Ordering omelets is more complicated than it used to be.

falsely advertising hotel!

they advertise 3 restaurants but there is actually only 1 and a snack bar, there dinner service is absolutely horrible same food every night in the buffet, you have to book a spot in the same restaurant to get a actual meal off the menu is a very odd system technically only 1 restaurant, no coffee pot in room had to go down for coffee and sometimes there was no coffee

We have vacationed at the Hacienda several times and the resort has sadly declined. The food is for the most part inedible. Strange combinations, leftovers seem to be served 1-3 times, pasta night is a ladle full of rancid oil before heating the sauce and noodles. food safety does not seem to be followed, the cook used her hands to scoop up the ham, mushrooms, and cheese for my omelette even though there were spoons in each topping bin. We spent a day and a half sick in bed as a result of bad food. The front desk staff would benefit from customer service training, the warm cheery welcome is gone. The beach club no longer has bathrooms or food service, because of that we chose to not go to the beach at all as the waters are very rough to be able to go for a dip (aka pee). The walk back to the resort is at least 10 minutes. The rooms are old and dated. Ours was so musty and the A/C/heat did not work properly and we had already moved once so they could do “maintenance”. We concluded that other rooms wouldn’t likely be much better. The pool and restaurant service staff does work very hard and that is the best part of the stay. They keep drinks flowing and always have a smile. Sadly, do not recommend the Hacienda.

Wonderful old world charm, comfortable beds and great staff. Repairs to shower were done quickly. No elevators is a problem for senior folk. Room was beautiful but just off the street so very noisy if you don't wear ear plugs. Close to everything you'd want to see or do!

Old facility and in poor shape. Only one place to eat with pretty much always the same things. Access to beach through back alleys and very grungy entrance to beach. Not clear on the website that this is NOT a beach front resort. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
