Our family had a great time at Melia! We went on daily walks around the neighborhood and the marina. We enjoyed all of the activities like mini golf, batting cages, rifle range and archery. The shows at night were fun too! My girls say the Mango Slushies were their favorite!

I loved this resort. It was clean, the staff was friendly, fun and very happy to accommodate. The resort is large and lots of room. The cons….the pool is not heated, it’s very cold. The two speciality restaurants are very difficult to reserve, leaving many to eat in the buffet, which was not good. Our bed was very hard, all staff could offer was more bedding to lay on to help soften it. Housekeeping didn’t get to cleaning our room until after 4pm each day….until I complained and they began coming sooner. I would definitely return and recommend this resort! Fermin, Karen and Marco made our stay fun!!!!!

We spent a week January 18-January 25 in this beautiful hotel Melia in Puerto Vallarta. It is such a great place to spend time with the family ( we travelled with 2 kids: 2.5 and 4.5) so quite and relaxed. Very clean facilities and amazing choices for food, loved the entertainment both for kids and adults! The Stuff was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating all the needs. As much as we liked the iguanas, i think the chairs next to the pool under the huge tree, should be removed, as we witnessed few times those large iguanas fell down from the tree directly under, luckily there was noone at the time in the chair.

The rooms are dingy and sparse. I was supposed to have a garden view but it was blocked by trees. Beds are only okay. The shower didn't drain properly and I was standing in six inches of water that had brown scum in it. My friends said the same thing about their showers. Some of the food was good but the majority was inedible. The 2 restaurants were good but if you didn't have reservations your only option is the buffet. The only good thing at the buffet was the pasta bar. The first day I was there I stepped out of the pool and took a hard fall when my foot flew out from underneath me when I stepped onto the red terracotta tiles. When I fell, some of the guests told me that those tiles are very slippery. Why in the world would there be slippery tiles around a pool! The hotel sent me to their hotel Dr which turned out to be a young lady that asked me a few questions and prescribed an anti-imflamatory which made me extremely nauseated and very dizzy. I sprained my knee, sprained my hips, and broke a toe. I spent 3 days of my vacation in my room. I had asked for some ice and they brought me one bag that leaked. I was told that they would call to see how I was doing and if I needed anything, which didn't happen.The restaurants don't allow any food to be taken out so my friends couldn't bring me anything to eat while I was in my room. The men that I reported my fall to saw me limping through the rest of my vacation and totally ignored me. I am very disappointed with the hotel!

I would go back to this resort we had 7 days and loved it Great friendly efficient staff and always cleaning the floors etc…grounds for very well kept working in the heat keeping them beautiful … food was ok we tried a lot of different Mexican food that we never had before living in Canada. Very good front desk staff as well friendly and knowledgeable! This resort is well worth it Great Value!

The friendliness and service of the staff was outstanding. While the building and facilities are a little dated, it had everything you need and the staff and location of the hotel at this price point make it a fantastic choice.

Second time staying here, but 10 years apart. Of course, they need some renovations but the staff and the cleanliness was to be appreciated. They also really accommodated us so my toddler could have a nap before we left. The nightly entertainment was great too. The bad - the food is barely tolerable. The only restaurant that was good was the Fish House. For the snack bar, they advertise a pizza oven but joke is on us, they use a thin tortilla/already made pizza base. What a waste of an oven.. The guac, queso, even beans taste horrible. It really was too bad. At the Mole restaurant, they asked us if we`re okay about 30 times and then asked for good review... Resort is 10 min from the airport, which is incredible, but we unfortunately cannot come back.

Went down for a four nights stay with my nephew, my sister and my mother. It was a great time, very accommodating and comfortable. We made it to one of the shows that my nephew really enjoyed. Everybody was friendly. The food at the buffet was good as well as the restaurant Mole next-door. I’m sure we’ll be back in the future.

Melia Puerto Vallarta does a good job of catering to families. There is a childcare service 2yr to 12yr. The pool has many spots for kids. The cafeteria has good food with great variety. Staff and service were good.
