Loved our stay! I will say that there were not many gluten free options and nothing was labeled at buffets. Staff were awesome and room was always clean. Tried to order room service a couple times and never got it but not a big deal. Great entertainment team! Loved the shows and thought every night was very fun and energetic!

Staff was very courteous, helpful and accommodating. Several restaurants to choose from with a good variety of meals. Beach and gardens are very well maintained. Room layout and design was good. Items in the room need better maintenance such as the broken glass top for the dresser cabinet. We had some small reaches in our room.

The staff was very courteous, smiling and greeting all the time. The amenities have lots of room for improvement, staff need to be better informed (many times the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing. The buffet is very confusing; the signs are misplaced (Sings say, meet and is pasta, sings say been and is fish) a little dangerous to people that don't eat certain products.

The room was beautiful and clean. When we first arrived, we were given a room that we did not reserve, but after making a complaint with the front desk, we were given the initial room we had booked the next day. The food wasn't great, and it was impossible to find almond milk after breakfast was over. The entertainment was very upbeat, and the entertainment crew made sure we were included in all activities

Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars I recently stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations for a “luxury” resort. From the food to the drinks and overall atmosphere, it felt more like a budget option than the upscale getaway it claims to be. Here’s a breakdown of my stay: Food and Dining: 1/5  The food was incredibly mediocre across the board. Everything lacked flavor, and the buffet offered zero variety, literally the same menu every single day. Room service was no better, with the exact same limited options. Breakfast and lunch were particularly challenging; I stuck to what I thought were safe choices, but even a simple hamburger was messed up. The only slight improvement came from the specialty restaurants for dinner, which were better but still nothing special or memorable. If you’re a foodie, this place will disappoint. Drinks: 2/5  The drink selection was severely limited. Beer Presidente, which wasn’t bad, but everything else tasted like watered-down mocktails spiked with Brugal rum. No international liquors. No real variety or quality in cocktails, making the all-inclusive aspect feel underwhelming. Room and Service: 1/5  Upon entering my room, I noticed a small bottle of Brugal on the table, a nice touch, or so I thought. But not even five minutes later, a hotel employee (possibly room service or housekeeping) was pounding on the door insistently. She barely waited two seconds befor

In the past we’d stayed at the sister property - Grand, this time we wanted to try Bouganville. Just like the other side, Bouganville staff is also very friendly and attentive. We noticed Bouganville has more seafood choices, ate all sorts of different fish all week long. One night we mentioned to one of the chefs supervising the dinner buffet that we don’t see any coconut dessert, he was very attentive and kind. Before we finished our dinner he whipped up a coconut dessert on the fly and brought to our table. We were very pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are gigantic - almost unnecessarily too big. As we noticed our rooms smoke detector was missing (probably the prior visitor disconnected to smoke) and notified the front desk, they got one installed but more importantly later they called us to check on us asked if we were happy in that room or would like to be moved to a different room. Their attentiveness made us very happy.. The entertainment staff worked hard all day and night tokeep the patrons engaged. We loved the live music duo on the evenings which gave us a chance to enjoy dancing merengue, bachata and some salsa. Went to the sister property for the nightly shows several nights too. The beach is beautiful with a lot of coconut trees and plenty of sunbeds. Enjoyed the complimentary kayaks and bicycles. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyfull week in paradise while it snowed where we live in upstate New York

Love Bahia Principe they have a great entertainment staff, I will say that there aren’t a lot of younger folks there this is more of a chill and relax resort, the room was clean and they sent someone to straighten up almost everyday unless you refused, staff were very nice and accommodating, the balcony was nice with a great view
