The food was fantastic, make sure to book your reservations for the on site restaurants or they will book up (not a bad thing). The entertainment and entertainment staff were extraordinary. The room was always kept clean and drinks and snacks were always plentiful. Our fridge was not working the first night we were there, I told the staff the next morning and by lunch time it was replaced. Will be going back. The best bang for your buck. No doubt about it.

The only negative of this resort was the buffet. The a-la-cart restaurants booked up quickly. The two we were able to get reservations for were fantastic, but we were stuck with the buffet for the rest of the time and it was lacking. Everything tended to be over cooked and under seasoned.

Overall was a great stay. Check in was frustrating- I checked in thru the app, had to wait an hour for the room to be ready and was told it was a king size bed- got to the room and it was. They did change the room to a king size. We had a dinner reservation at 6; got to the resort at 4. And did not have time to shower, etc- only change to make it to the reservation due to the lengthy check in. Smaller details such as the beach- not what I was expecting- below expectations. Entertainment staff was amazing though.

Other than the entertainment staff, the staff were not that welcoming and friendly, especially when we first arrived. Their first answer to everything was no. Book your dinner reservations well before you arrive because there’s a good chance you won’t get one as they only have one restaurant open a night. Overall, it turned out to be a great vacation, and the pool and beach were a vibe. Staff just looked worn out and like they haven’t had a day off and it shows.

We have stayed 5 nights at the Bahia Principe Luxury Bougainville at Punta Cana. The mid June weather was quite nice, a bit hot but with light refreshing breezes. The place is awesome. It is super tranquil, with many beautifully maintained green corners and really super nice staff available 24/7. The food is fantastic with endless options in the nicely decorated restaurant that functions as a buffet - but feels much more like an upscale restaurant. There are other few super nice restaurants around that open for a nice classic dinner and guests need to book in advance due to the high demand. Next time we will come here (hopefully soon) we will definitely book mainly the amazing Brazilian and the tasty Asian restaurants. I am sure we both agreed to completely skip the Italian. Few improvements things I would suggest. Fix the leaky shower doors, replace the body wash and lotion options that have strange smell, get tastier coffee brand, and upgrade the gym from its current nineties shape. These are but minor annoyance items that would not and should not change your mind about experiencing this wonderful and beautiful resort. All in all, staying here was an amazing vacation experience and we are looking forward to book another visit in one of Bahía Principe resorts.
