We had no view and no vip treatment. We didnt get the room cleaned and we got a broken mini bar everything was hot Also we had to beg to get one dinner at one of the restaurant as they said it was all full for the days of our stay. I am very disappointed and feel i was mislead by Expedia.

On 12/10/2025 phase one My wife and I arrived at the Meliá beach Punta Cana. This is the worse resort we have ever stayed at. When we were dropped off by my driver no one came to get the luggage. I then took my luggage to the counter and stood there for about 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The first thing that was asked if we belonged to the Meliá rewards thing. I said we do not. Then they went-on and on about this reward thing which turns out to be like a time share pitch. I then stopped them and said I just want my room. Well here is we’re phase two begins. To get to the room you have to be taken on this golf cart and the room is like 1 mile from the main lobby. Phase three. The room was a disaster it smelled like mold from the point you open the door. The room felt humid. I then looked for where was the return for the AC and when I found it up in the ceiling by the entrance the filter looks like it had not been replaced in years not month. I went off on every one complaining of how old and in need of a renovation the room was. I had been staying at the Majestic Elegance for over 6 years two and three times a year and never went through anything like this. Well back to the resort from hell. No one says good morning or anything the staff barely acknowledges you. Now day two. When my complaining reach Zully, that’s when things got better. Zully should be the general manager of this place she cares. She not heard she listened and took action quickly.

Our stay was amazing. Ms Sanchez was a wonderful assistant. She made check in and check out so smooth. Every morning she greeted me with a text message and she also asked if she would like us to help book anything. We told her we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and she booked a birthday dinner for us on her own. She was very friendly and if you book their through Expedia, I hope she is your personal assistant/ concierge. From the moment we arrived, the bellhops were very friendly, helpful and all smiles. I would like to specifically mention Pablo, Niko, Thomas and Jeffrey. They were genuinely very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Pablo and my niece were talking about an excursion and My husband and I got lost at the wrong resort. My niece asked him for directions and he actually came and found us and brought us to meet up with our niece. Pablo is a good guy so please see him if you want to do any excursions. He’s at the towel stand near the large pool. Niko- was one of the trolley drivers. He was very pleasant, remembered our names and was always looking out for us and everyone. Made space for everyone. Thomas- alway smiling , very helpful, kind and going the extra mile to make sure we had a pleasant stay and that got to our flight out on time. Jeffrey- jovial attitude and pleasant personality. Overall, we had a great stay. The resort was absolutely stunning and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Reviews Big, beautiful, not 5* We visited this resort from Dec 9-Dec 17, and we both agreed 0-10 we would rate this resort at 4 overall. There were good and bad things. The resort is about 25 mins from the airport. The lobby is beautiful, it has the wellness/relax look. When we arrived it was 1.30pm and we couldn’t get our room until 4-4.30pm. It was very upsetting because we were so tired and hot. Our last two days were constantly disrupted by people offering spa, dinner on the beach, and excursions . The worst was when we were SLEEPING on the chair by the pool and a staff came over and forced us to go online and leave the resort a 5* review!! It also happened at our dinner at yumai , after we were done the server came and asked us to scan a code to leave a review, stood above my head until I left a 5* review! Lastly at our check out the girl said “let me show you how you can review our hotel”. I gave her my phone and she didn’t just show me, she rated it! I do want to shout out people at the swim up bar, who were always in good mood, dancing and singing. Also, a concierge Zully, this girl was super helpful and awesome! I had a swollen knee and asked for some cabbage (home remedy) and she actually got it for me!! Checked on me every day how I was feeling. Food You have 3 restaurants (1 at level)+buffet 2x -vietnamese for me it was 0 out of 10 but a lot of people loved it -yumai, traditional Dominican was a great experience by

The resort is beautiful as are the grounds. It is quite large and depending on where your room is it can be up to a 15 minute walk to the beach however there are carts that come by every 5 minutes or so to shuttle people to/from. The food variety in the buffets is a bit smaller than hoped and the repetition is noticeable toward the end of the week. The service in the a la carte restaurants is extremely slow so take that into consideration when making reservations however the food is good. One area of improvement would be the friendliness of the staff. Few if any greet you with a “hello” or a smile in the buffet for example. Some staff seem disinterested. A better attitude would go a long way. Overall, the resort is absolutely beautiful and the beach is as well. We enjoyed our time there.
