Location wise, it was great! However, the check in experience was confusing. The owners were fine. In terms of the uni itself - the bed had no sheets, only a mattress cover. The floors were not clean, and several outlets didn’t work, making it inconvenient to charge devices. More concerning was the absence of a smoke detector, which is a serious safety issue. Additionally, while it may not be the owner’s fault, there was a domestic violence incident during my stay that made me feel unsafe. I hope the host can address these issues to improve future guests’ experiences.

Cosy budget place in old Quebec City

Very well situated in old Quebec. My room was very basic with no shower or toilet but had its own sink with a full bathroom down the hall. Everything was clean. It was up two steep flights of stairs, which would probably be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Parking was in inside structure across the street and cost about 20 CAD.

Front desk lady was very nice and allowed us for early check-in. There was no lock on washroom door on top floor. Stairs were very steep. Other than that price was very resonable and fair to stay.

The location of the motel was excellent, which was its main positive point. However, the cleanliness and amenities were below average. I had booked through Expedia and paid with my credit card, but upon arrival, the staff asked me to pay again, promising a refund for the first payment, which has not yet been processed. If you’re not very particular about cleanliness or small spaces and prioritize location, this motel could be a suitable option.

A great spot to stay while exploring old Quebec. A great price clean and modest spot. Good shower and bathroom. Bed not the most comfortable but did for what we needed. Front desk staff friendly and kind. We felt safe. It is in the heart of old Quebec and close to everything. Would be back for sure.

Durante el check-in solicite que se me diera de forma desglosada el pago que realice y se nego. Simplemente me dieron el recibo del pago de la tarjeta de credito. Asi q desconozco de cuanto fue el deposito. Pregunte y no me contesto se hacia la que no entendia. Al hacer el check-out no habia nadie en recepcion ni los dia que me hospede. Son uno expertos en ese detalle.

Convenient location in the old city. Parking option affordable and convenient. The staff was exceptional. The first floor was registration area, plus sitting area. It also has a table, chairs, and fridge for guest use. Charming stay. Caution. If you are older or have some physical disabilities, the stairs to the rooms on the second floor are steep and intimidating.

Parfait pour petits budgets

L’accueil était super, nous avons même pu choisir entre deux chambres que nous avons pu regarder avant la décoration est très ordinaire et très ancienne mais le lit était super confortable c’est super bien situé. Tout dans la chambre était passablement propre aucun problème là-dessus. Grand train.

I stayed at Auberge Saint Louis for the duration of my trip in Quebec City. This auberge is perfectly located if you are planning on doing any of the local tours as most pick up locations are within a 5-10 minute walk. There are endless choices for cafes and bistro within minutes walking. There is also an affordable epicarie (Richard's Epicarie) just around the corner for snacks and basic grocery needs. The auberge is full of charm. It is an older building but I found it easy enough to navigate. Yes the stairs are unique but common for the style of building. There are helpful railings if you feel unsteady. I would recommend requesting the lower floor rooms if you have serious mobility issues. My room was comfortable and clean. The view from my window was cute and bright looking over some beautiful architecture. The tempature was easy to adjust and there were extra blankets for warmth. The shared bathroom was very clean and the hot showers were wonderful at the end of each day. There is a kettle, microwave and fridge to use as well. All the staff were warm and welcoming. My train was extremely delayed causing me to arrive nearer to midnight. They were able to accommodate me with a lock box code for my room key to ensure I could still check in to my room after hours. I am so appreciative of this effort, it melted away all of my anxiety for such a late arrival in a new city traveling alone. I would book here again if I come back for another visit to Quebec City.
