The exterior of the property looks like a run down old gated up shack. Inside wasn’t much better. This property is very degraded with no maintenance over the years. The washer did not work. The bathroom was dirty with a ring of excrement under the seat. The shower cannot be regulated between hot and cold so it’s always either. Two burners on the stove top were out and the lights indicate they are always on which is an fire issue. The silverware & cooking supplies were terrible. Fridge rusted/dirty. Window shades had years of built up dirty on them. The screen door wouldn’t stayed closed in front, and broken off in back then stored in the bedroom closet. Beds were very hard and extremely cheap mattresses, worse than a motel 6 in the US. There is no TV despite being in the photos. The back patio is nice, it over looks a storm run off which had over grown with foliage over the years. This is not “the jungle”. The furniture was rusted and dirty. Loud barking dogs throughout the day time hours. At night wild cats howl and fight each other in the middle of the night. There is not parking on property as the garage is suspended over the hill side, is not safe for the weight of the vehicle. We enjoyed an entire month in Costa Rica touring all over the country. This property by far was the worst we stayed in. We notified VRBO of the issues which they described as only minor. Would not let us cancel the remaining few days and switch to another property so we stuck it out regrettably.
