Great property with a nice resort feel. Because it is a vacation villa property with complete kitchens, it does lack dining options, though the property next door has a restaurant. However, a bit awkward visiting the Westin next door, as the walkway is fenced off between the two properties. We're told it has to do with ownership issues, but I hope that at some point the walkway will be opened.

Overall Nice and Convenient

Spent time at the Westin Vacation Resort in Rancho Mirage California. I wanted a property located centrally for visiting friends and looking at real estate in the area. The staff is courteous and the property is well maintained and comfortable. I understand it is meant to be a vacation destination for couples and families so there are limited services as far as restaurants, bars, coffee shops and the like. Would probably stay at at a property next time with more services. Otherwise was fine.

Nice place to stay when in Palm Desert/Springs

Chose to stay here rather than a hotel while in the area for a wedding. Great choice. Lots of room to spread out and relax between events. A bit dated but clean and very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Liked the free coffee in reception touch. Found the food in the pool bar a bit greasy. Hotel lacked a good restaurant but it was nice to cook yourself in the well equipped and nicely furnished villas

I really wanted to like this resort, and I rarely write reviews. However, this was a fairly poor experience. We rented a villa and the buildings are wood frame. We could hear the people next to us clearly, they might have been in the same room. The sound from our upstairs neighbours were also really loud. Generally, the state of the rooms also needs to be updated. The Aloes bar somehow had the worst nachos I’ve ever had (cheese sauce overtop chips that were served on a paper plate). Those and the tepid hot dog were both $20 each. It could be such a cool spot but it should be avoided at all costs.
