Great apartment in Rapallo
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this apartment. Here are the PROS:
- LOCATION: Very safe, great location, close to everything you need in town. Only a 10 minute walk from the train station. Only a 3 minute walk to the ferry to Portofino, Cinque Terre, etc.
- INTERIOR: Very nice, modern, clean, spacious, well-appointed space. Everything works.
- COMMUNICATION: Owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. There is also a very helpful binder with a ton of information on the kitchen table.
The CONS:
- LOCATION: It’s about 3 flights of stairs to get to the door. If you are handicapped, have really big luggage, etc. You’ll need to take this into consideration. The elevator is broken, so you will have to hike up and down quite a few steps every time you head out.
- INTERIOR: It is very noisy. You can hear voices from other apartments at all hours of the night and very loud traffic noise. I used ear plugs and could still hear the traffic fairly loudly.
- CHECKOUT. Although the listing says 11AM, they ask you to checkout by 10AM. Not necessarily a bad thing, just would like to have know upfront.
Other than that, the apartment really is well-managed and beautiful, with all the comforts you need away from home.
