We had reservations and still had to wait over an hour to check in with other travelers trying to use vouchers for flight delays. Upon arriving to the room we realized the air was not working immediately. I went down stairs to ask for assistance and was told to go back to my room and dial 9 to get help. I did that at 7:40pm and no one came. I called again at 9:10pm and asked for assistance and still no one came. I walked back downstairs at 9:40pm to ask for assistance and at that point also asked for some sheets to sleep with instead of a blanket and was told I could go back to my room and they would call or send someone. All this time my mother was waiting in the room and still no one came to the room or called. We finally laid down to try to sleep about 10:30pm, it was warm. Room was clean. Facility appeared to be clean. Only 2 elevators were running the entire time and staff told us they were nearly fully booked, so lines were forming to go up and down from the lobby to rooms.

This property, while adjacent to the Frankfurt Airport was quiet, clean and beautiful! The porters that helped with our luggage both at check in and check out went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant. The lady at the Registration desk was another issue. When my husband and I walked to the registration desk with LUGGAGE, she said "What do you need?" I gave her the name for out reservation and again she said, "What do you need?" While not overtly rude, I would have thought it was obvious what we needed when I gave her the name for the reservation. If not for her behaviour, the rating for the staff & service would have been 5 stars (excellent).

They gave us a free upgrade in our room, which put our room directly above work that was being done outside. They jackhammered all night, literally 6 full hours of jackhammering. They had to know that this work was being done, but still placed clients directly above it, so that sleep is impossible. The jackhammering stopped in the morning, so that it only occurred at night. As a hotel, they should be aware.

Always a pleasure to stay at this airport hotel -- makes international connections far more relaxing to insert a stay between flights. The front desk staff -- esp Andreas and Mehrnaz were superb -- helped us decipher our DB train tickets and guide us to the platforms with ease. Will def be back!
