Book Retz hotels

I found the staff very friendly and happy to answer any questions :) the room was lovely, clean and spacious, close to so many local sights and good pubs/restaurants. If I am ever back in Znojmo i would definitely stay here again.

Location was quiet and relatively convenient, located along a few bus routes and right across from two convenience stores. Service was fine. Staff mostly had a working grasp of English. The breakfast left a bit to be desired. I did not have dinner at the hotel restaurant so I cannot comment on it. As for rooms, they weren't great overall. The fridge was partially stocked with a mini bar selection. The toilets are in separate rooms from the sink and shower, so you invariably have to touch door handles between using the restroom and washing your hands. The shower also has no shower curtain, so it's difficult to avoid water getting everywhere. The shower vent fan also only works when you are actively pressing the switch, which makes it rather useless, as you can't physically hold the switch down to prevent the room from steaming over while you're in the shower. The tap is impossibly finnicky. The water is either room temperature or scalding hot, and sometimes you move the handle further in one direction and the temperature goes the other way. It's genuinely an enigma. You are also only provided with one "hand and body shampoo". Most hotels provide separate hair shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap or at least a few of these items in my experience. The furniture also felt poorly thought out. There was no desk, only a dresser that could serve as a poor substitute. There was no chair, only an uncomfortable folding stool. Room also wasn't very clean on arrival.

The hotel is not marked "Grandhotel Sluchátko" but "Zámecký hotel" what makes problem to find it. We passed by several times, before the idea came to ask the staff where the Grandhotel Sluchátko is located. The hotel is in reasonable condition, but the tasteless colorful spray-painted graffiti in parts of the interior negative interfere with the ancient atmosphere, and also some of the hanging paintings do not fit the style of the majority. We slept well. No TV in our room. Good parking. Staff o.k.

I loved this place! The self check in was super easy. The lobby and common area was great. My room was very clean and comfortable. It was a bit warm, but i had forgotten to close the blinds when i went out in the morning. Gars am Kamp felt like the perfect Austrian village. Very walkable to restaurants and supermarkets. Also an easy walk to all things Falco! It was a very relaxing stay! Highly recommend!!!
