It was an okay hotel. I would have preferred a hotel with more convenient parking and personal bathroom…but that was known before I booked it. What I did not know is that the shower water would smell like rotten eggs. I’m guessing sulfur. It was really bad. I had to forgo the shower. Luckily it was only a quick one night layover to my final destination. I couldn’t imagine if this was a longer term stay.

I shared detailed feedback with the hotel. Consistent traveler here with over 30 countries experience. We all know Iceland is more expensive than other areas; please consider this a hostel/low budget hotel quality. The location is good, close to areas that one will want to visit. Although the town is so small that people who are fitter/enjoy walking will find nearly everything is in close distance. The elevator is reliable for those who have mobility issues. For people who have a one night stay and/or are on an extended, budget trip with no kids or elderly folks, this can be a reasonable stop over option.

Location, location

The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. Right across from bus stop for airport transportation. It's not fancy but has what you need for a good night sleep (maybe some new mattresses would help though)

Perfect spot for our one-night layover in Reykjavik. Hallgrímskirkja and the main downtown - very walkable. Bear bus stop for several routes, made getting to CrossFit Reykjavik very easy!

Excellent location, but the accommodations are sparse, to put it mildly. My biggest complaint was the closest toilet and shower to our room was simply dangerous to get in and out of the shower. It’s up on a podium and, when wet, extremely dangerous to exit. Both mornings we stayed there the toilet had run out of toilet paper.

Do not book this property! I stayed in the single room with a shared bathroom. The bathroom had NO towels or anything to dry your hands. The bathroom itself was in horrible condition with no bath mats air any towels for the floor provided. The room was given one had towel (sink in the room) and one towel for showering both were in horrible condition with frays and were stained. I was given one cup that was NEVER changed (I was there for 4 days). When I Checked in there was 1 tea bag and 1 instant coffee in the room and it was NOT replenished at all during my stay. The place was so unsanitary don’t waste your money staying here you will regret it

We stayed here for one night, on a Saturday. Our room was on the 4th floor and faced west, towards the (non) setting sun. When we walked into the room it was uncomfortably warm. The heaters were not on, it was the greenhouse effect of a wall of windows facing the sun all day, even though the drapes were all pulled closed. We could open two windows slightly to let a bit of cooler air in, but had to keep the drapes completely closed, and cover the mirror with a towel because it was reflecting the sun into the room. This hotel is on a pretty busy street, with a bus route, and at least on a Saturday people were down on the street talking and shouting late into the night. Street cleaners must have cleaned every inch of the roadway during the night as the noise went on for a long time. The beds sagged a bit, so not the most comfortable, but not terrible. The drapes aren't quite close enough to the window to block out the light at night (some hotels are much better at this). The bedroom had a small sink, which was convenient since the bathroom were shared. The bathroom cleanliness was so so. The showers were not inviting, as the grout was moldy, see pictures. I guess you get what you pay for.

Okay place for a one night stay as it is right in Reykjavik it made walking everywhere really easy. Our room was on the 3rd floor which was sweltering hot so we had to leave the windows open and then just listen to the city noise all night. It worked for one night.

On a very busy corner, and every street noise could be heard all night long. Sheets had a tear in them. The heat was up so high that it made it impossible to sleep with a sheet on.
