Bathroom had couple of issues. First, the shower was half covered with glass without any curtain so you would have to be real careful about water not spilling out of the shower. Second, the placement of sink and mirror was not appropriate. You can’t wash your face without either hitting the mirror stand or spilling the water outside of sink stand.
I don't recommend this hotel for numerous reasons. No elevator at an airport hotel where almost everyone staying there has luggage. The hallway was dingy, there are people living in this hotel long-term, the window blinds did not black out the midnight sun.
The hotel was quite basic and lacked several expected amenities. The carpet appeared dirty, there was no microwave, and the window blind didn’t provide enough coverage, making the room very bright in the morning. There’s no elevator, which could be inconvenient for some guests. The sink was also very small and not practical for everyday use.
When we arrived we had a hard time finding the Reception Desk and were not too sure of the area. Got to our room only to find the electronic lock was not working. We told Reception and went out for gas. Came back and the lock was fixed! More people had arrived which made it seem better in general. Room was large and comfy. Being so close to the airport was wonderful. We read about the area and it's newly hotels and area is being worked on. We would stay here again.
It is a hostel not a hotel. It's converted from army barracks. Absolutely disgusting. The room, the bedding and the washroom everything is poorly done. It is a rip-off for the prices that we had been charged.
This was a lovely apartment in the center of Reykjavík that was clean, well stocked, and roomy. It had a great little kitchen and was full of amenities (coffee machine, dishwasher, milk and cereal). It was easy to get into (smart phone app) and the area is full of things to see and places to eat. We would highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area.
Property is definitely very old and questionable. Definitely would not recommend staying here.

Two good things about ABC Hotel, it’s close to the airport and the showers work well. Otherwise it reminded me to a youth hostel. It’s the most basic place possible. Hope I have never to see a place like that again. And the price they charge is ridiculous for what you get.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The hotel is very close to the international airport and still very quiet and generally clean. It was probably an army base because the rooms are large and equipments are very simple.
Nice use of an older USAF Base housing? Clean and roomy.
It could really use some tower hooks or bar in the bathroom.

The room was quite small & plain for the amount of money they charge. I guess it’s just expensive in Iceland. Taxi costs nearly USD40 from the airport! The shuttle service which cost €10/person was only available from 4am till 7:30am- so inconvenient!
So overall we spent USD80 round trip from the airport to this hotel!
The place is a dump. Everything but the bed was filthy. There was nobody at the desk when we arrived. My connectivity was so poor that I didn’t get my check in instructions until I was back home in the states. There was a local woman who came to my rescue and found my room codes. Then I had to lug all my stuff up 3 flights of steps. I lived thru one night there but I wouldn’t stay there again. For what it was it should’ve been a lot cheaper
It’s a budget hotel. It is clean and is close to the airport. There is a TV, a fridge in the room. No elevator and no shuttle to the airport except in summer. The price is low.
The place used to be a military base and thus feels very cold and uninviting I’ll start with the good the location is amazing it’s right beside the airport so if you have an early flight can’t be the location and the price they also updated the bathrooms and recently painted the rooms and the bed surprisingly comfortable. The bad is the carpet was commercial flat hard carpet like in old office buildings, the exterior it’s not pleasant, the halls feel very military like the roof in the room is a commercial office grid roof the outside is the only place in Iceland I saw garbage also there is no elevator so you have to walk all your luggage up 3 flights of stairs if you are on the 3rd floor and your view is of other military base looking buildings it almost feels like the projects in USA with a fresh coat of paint. I’m sure that’s why the price is the lowest in the area.
No front desk. You will be given the room number & key code to enter the room. We were assigned in the first floor room. Room was dirty. The floor had felt-like flooring (not carpet) that you wont like stepping barefoot so i had to keep wearing my shoes inside the room. The toilet sink was very small that I had a hard time filling my water bottle in the faucet coz it wont fit the small sink. I had to heat up water in the kettle on the floor since the electrical plug was by the floor. There were no black out curtains. Good thing there was a blind that we rolled down to have some privacy (since we were in the first floor). The room is run down specially the flooring & definitely needs some updating. Even the glass shelve by the sink is slanted down. There’s hardly any place for you to put your toothbrush & other toilettries.
At least the location was nice, near Bonus grocery & other restaurants nearby.
Would NOT recommend this place at all. Worst place we stayed in Iceland.
This hotel is a budget option at luxury prices. One step above a hostel, it's located in renovated army barracks and the rooms definitely look it. Peel and stick carpet squares, textured concrete walls and grimy windows. The bed is crammed into a room cutout with barely room for a tiny side table only on one side. The one nice thing is the shower that's obviously been re-tiled really nicely, but the sink is so minuscule you can't wash your face without it spilling all over the floor. Add in paper thin walls so you can hear every neighbor and this hotel is not worth your money near the airport in Keflavik. Spend a little more and stay at the Radisson in town instead.

No fluff hotel. I would say it's more like a hostel than a hotel. I arrived after hours but after a brief panic, I was able to gain access, get into my room and order a taxi for that morning. I left before the staff arrived so I can’t speak to them, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
It was great for me as I had a 12 hour layover and just needed a bed and a way to charge my phone.
It is expensive to get back and forth to the airport I will say. I arrived at 01:00 and left the same day at 07:00, my taxis were $100 usd in total to go 8 miles.
