Parking miscommunication

There was a clear lack of communication regarding parking fees at this hotel. My booking did not state there would be a charge for the outside lot. During check-in, I was simply told to park outside, with no mention of payment. As a result, I was surprised to be charged $25 per night at check-out. I only avoided this fee on my first night because the lot was full, and I parked on the street during the free overnight period.

Roomy, Clean, PERFECT location!

Such an unexpected pleasure to stay at the Black Pearl. There were 3 adults (me, husband, and adult daughter) so having 1 bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room was perfect. We never felt cramped and having a warm, roomy location in the heart of Reykjavik was great. The place was clean, the front desk folks were very kind and helpful in arranging cabs for us. The nicest touch was the daily Christmas notes with Icelandic quirky tales of fairies. I saved the notes as a wonderful memory...such a nice welcoming touch.

Very convenient!

Great location! Very clean and large rooms to accommodate 3 adults. Sofa bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Free coffee 24/7. Parking was expensive but convenient, recommend booking in advance though because it is very limited. Breakfast was an extra charge so visited a nearby bakery which was very delicious.
