We loved our stay at the City Center Hotel. The hotel was a short walk from the shuttle bus drop off. There is plenty of dining and shopping nearby. The hotel staff was friendly, giving suggestions on what to see and do while in Reykjavik. We would definitely stay at City Center Hotel again!

A great hotel located right in the middle of downtown. Easy to walk all over the place. Friendly front desk staff. Nicely and modernly decorated. Clean. Just note that because it’s centrally located, you do hear the partiers out and about especially on Friday night. My only request would be that the hotel have a microwave available to use.

Wonderful staff, so helpful with everything and chilled not like some corporate chain hotels this felt really relaxed and welcoming. Location is fantastic for eveything in and out the city. We had eveything we needed and more, brilliant view across the roof tops from our balcony (we were given a complementary upgraded room which was really kind and a lovely surprise). I would absolutely recommend staying here. Totally faultless thank you!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in the middle of the city center, this is it. You’re truly steps away from everything: shops, restaurants, sights, and transit. The hotel itself is cozy, welcoming, and even has the cutest cat hanging out in the lobby, which instantly made it feel like home. But the real standout is the staff. Melissa was an absolute rockstar, a total gem. We missed our South Coast tour, and she immediately jumped into action, calling around to find a solution. Thanks to her, we were booked on the next day’s tour without any stress. Her kindness and professionalism made all the difference. Highly recommend!

Room was clean, sofa had a couple of stains, and the elevator door on our floor (6th floor) would jam and not open. The staff were nice and helpful. Other than that it was comfortable, well located and best of all has a beautiful mascot cat that’s 16 years old. He made everything worthwhile. 😻❤️

Let me start by saying that I really liked this hotel. The room was a good size, it was comfortable, the radiators were very easy to control so I could set the room as I wanted, there was also a huge fridge for cold drinks. The staff were really nice, there was someone there late at night and early in the morning, always happy to help. Location wise, if you're going to things in the city centre, it's perfect. I visited for Iceland Airwaves and I could literally leave my room and be in a venue within 4 minutes, pretty much everything I wanted to see in town was walkable, there are two bus stops for shuttle busses within a few minutes walk. For some this will be a downside - there's an American Bar next door that plays music until late at night and on one day there was a stage with DJs in the square behind the room (which finished around 11pm) so, honestly, if you're not the kind of person who's out until midnight then this might not be the area for you to stay in but that's kind of what comes with being a hotel in the busiest part of town - what's great for me won't necessarily be right for everyone. That aside, this was comfortable and I had a great stay. If you're looking for somewhere for Iceland Airwaves this place is literally the perfect hotel for you.
