This hotel is like a bad joke. They advertise shuttle service, but it is not available. No breakfast, however, to be fair, the restaurant, which is open from 5 pm, is good. They are supposed to provide code for the room to get to the hotel, but they didn't. You need to wait by the door until somebody comes, and then call the number in the hotel lobby to get the code to the room. All of this is for 240 dollars a night. The hotel lobby and rooms remind me of American horror movies, with no lights, unattended reception, etc. Overall, a bad experience for a ridiculous price.

Convenient to KEF, one night is ok

Able to check in a few hours early which was very nice. Thin walls and very loud front door which meant you could hear it slam at all hours people coming and going. friendly Staff. Bathroom was tiny, no where to set anything or hang towels. Broken toilet paper holder.

No amenities. Towels were flimsy. No true bathroom the sink was located next to the bed. This hotel is listed as a luxury ocean view hotel and our room overlooking a rooftop and parking lot. The only plus was the attached restaurant. Our room was above the hotel restaurant entrance and door slammed from 330-930 at night. Not recommending this hotel

Nice hotel and restaurant next to the marina. Can stroll around the area. Quiet place to sleep. Check in is easy and straightforward. Would be nice if they update rooms with new pillows and bedsheets. They are clean and smell great but the beddings could use an update. Great location minutes away from airport or those seeking a trip to see the lava field!

Absolutely unacceptable. The room was in appalling condition—filthy throughout, with bugs crawling everywhere and a bed that looked and felt unclean. It was so bad I ended up sleeping in my car. There’s no reception on site, so I had to contact the property through chat, and their response was to offer “a bed change and another cleaning.” This place doesn’t need a quick cleaning—it needs a complete demolition or a full professional remodel. My room should not have been rented out at all, let alone for $200 a night. Avoid at all costs.

Nice location on the wharf but not much to do around area. Broken shower fixture. The walk out patio off the room was dirty with a broken table & no chairs. Very close to the airport which was helpful. Restaurant was closed on Monday which showed online it was open.

I was extremely disappointed. When I booked through Expedia, the property was listed as having 'free shuttle to airport' and when we arrived, the room information folder indicated that tge hitel would provide ' a free shuttle to the airport' but when I called reception to book the shuttle was told it was no longer provided! And, the phone receptionist informed me that it was taking some time to revise the information to guests! This was blatant false advertising and misrepresentation.I warn any travellers with an early morning flight from Keflavik to stay in a proper hotel near the airport. Hotel DUUS was an extremely bad choice for us due to tge misrepresentation.

Lovely Stay
