Arranging a bit of time in La Coruna? There are a small but nice selection of places that are within a 10-kilometre radius of Rianxo's centre.

Hotel choices situated near the centre of Rianxo are rather limited, however, you'll find the Castelao and A Casa dos Cancelos within a 10 kilometres radius.

The Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja can be found 20 kilometres away from the heart of Rianxo. Another alternative is the Parador de Santiago - Hostal dos Reis Católicos, which can be found 30 kilometres away. More options here include the Casa Perfeuto María and the Rusticae Hotel Quinta de San Amaro.

After you have spent some time in Rianxo, set out to visit the wider region of the Galicia area. If you're a nature lover, you won't want to miss Galicia's beaches, coastal plains, forests and rivers. You should also spend time at the area's castles, old towns and fortresses. Fun-loving types might try their hand at mountain biking and mountain climbing here.

Everyone knows we Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider staying a little longer and check out the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral and Obradoiro Square, which you'll find in Santiago de Compostela, 35 kilometres to the northeast of Rianxo. The San Francisco Hotel Monumento and Altaïr are some of the great accommodation alternatives in Santiago de Compostela. Or, you could consider staying in Oleiros, 85 kilometres to the northeast of Rianxo, where you can choose from the Hotel Portocobo and Hotel Sercotel Pazo do Rio. Whether you're just passing through or staying in Oleiros, set aside a little time to visit the Bastiagueiro Beach and Santa Cruz Castle.

Love your sport? Indulge in your obsession by visiting Plaza de Toros, 30 kilometres to the south of Rianxo. The Hotel Galicia Palace and the Parador de Pontevedra are good options if you want to really get into your sport.
