Beautiful hotel, with very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, and the Spa had great facilities! Great location too, and rooms cleaned to a high standard each day. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely stunning hotel. Exceeded my expectations. Great location, amazing amenities and food was perfect. Opposite a wonderful park too. Everything was less than a 10-minute walk away. I wish I stayed longer.

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is lovely; however, they have music playing in the corridors, and it is supposed to go off at 11 pm. It didn't on our first night? We weren't sure whether it was someone singing in the building next door. We complained abiut the music. The 2nd night, we had a couple above us shouting all night, and again, we hardly slept at all. We complained twice, and eventually they asked them to stop talking at 3-5 am! They gave us some prosecco for the first night and upgraded us to a suite for our last night, where we didn't hear any noise. I suggest that they stop playing music in the corridors. It doesn't always turn off!

Two nights in Riga.

The hotel was immaculately maintained and had a lovely ambience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was extensive and enjoyable. And most importantly, we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep for each of our two nights stay. Thoroughly recommended.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Ate in restaurant, sampled a number of cocktails and wines and thought breakfast was of very good quality. Room well appointed. Something that let the hotel down was low quality, small and coarse bath towels, pillows that needed renewed. One safety issue noted in bedrooms that I think they need to address also in the turn of the wall outside of the bathrooms. The space between the area between where the suitcase stand is and the space between there and the wall has a very sharp edged surface to it. There could be a sympathetic edging to reduce the risk of injury, but it is a risk and we both noticed it. Overall a great stay.

The hotel is very nice. The walks around it are something to behold. The river is especially awe inspiring. There aren't as many 'destination's to go see as a tourist but I don't see how thats the hotels fault. Great place to stay and unwind, recommend.

We got a free upgrade to a junior suite, which was lovely with a separate sitting area and a nice coffee machine. We spent a good bit of time in the spa, it was all beautifully tiled with lots of things to try. We also had massages which were wonderful and relaxing! Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection to choose from.

If you like a feel of luxury with an imaginative boutique feel to it, Grand Poet is your hotel. The breakfast and the spa were out of this world. Located dear a gorgeous park and steps away from the old town. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Our room on the 5th floor had tremors: likely a generator or piece of ventilation equipment above us on the roof. The bed shook, the glasses rattled. Not restful. The front desk person blamed it on the road traffic. Ridiculous, as it happened without traffic too. Beds were very good. "Snob" restaurant uninteresting and expensive. No gym. Spa good. No parking!!

Everything about the hotel was excellent except the spa area. We paid extra to use the facility however only used it twice as it was very noisy with people talking loudly and young children splashing about in the pool. Not a relaxing spa experience at all

Fantastic stay

The hotel is fantastic. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The spa is excellent and on an evening 7-10pm only over 16s are allowed in which made it more relaxing. The breakfast had a huge selection and very tasty. Would love to stay again.
