Great location, and communication!! Weird comment, but unlike many places ive stayed, the water pressure and temperature for the shower were as good as it gets :)

We stayed at this apartment in the Copacabana Beach area-it’s lively, with plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The apartment itself is a bit older, but it was well-equipped with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and everything worked perfectly during our stay.The only minor downside is that, due to the central location, there were some homeless people nearby and occasional noise at night. I mentioned this to the host, Marcus, and he let me know he’s planning to install acoustic windows, so this should improve in the future.Marcus’s communication was excellent—he was always quick to respond and available via text whenever we needed him. Overall, a decent place to stay in Copacabana.

Great location and the owner, Marcos, was attentive to our needs. My wife and I, and our adult son, had a great time. The space was comfortable and adequate for our needs. The only potential surprises for those coming from the U. S. is that there is no dryer to accompany the washer (you can hang up clothes to dry), and you pay for your electricity during your stay. For us, that was about 10-12 per day.

Entrance Broken - Unit could be cleaner

Negatives: Check in was not good. Not the manager’s fault but there was no answer to intercom at check in and the door code did not work. To get in and out we had to walk to the back of the block and enter through the parking garage. The bathrooms were not clean (hair in sinks and bath mats not clean). The bathrooms each had a bar of soap but no shampoo. Positives: Good location and good price. Property manager was very responsive, even if unable to completely help.

This location was perfect for our stay, right at Copacabana Beach, and near restaurants and grocery store. The apartment was exactly as advertised. Marcos was outstanding in communication, always very prompt to answer. I definitely would stay here again.

My Brief Vacay

The PROPERTY was as described, the LOCATION was convenient and the PROPERTY MANAGER was a joy to work with. Marcos went above and beyond out of his way to make sure that any worries I might have were taken care of. I needed an early check in and an extra day due to flight issues and he accommodated me. When my code to get in th e room expired, I called him and he reset it on the spot. I will definitely look for an availability here when I return.

Amazing, BEST Host Ever

I can’t say enough about Marcos and his impeccable customer service. His detailed questionnaire, instructions and recommendations made it easier to navigate the normal stresses of traveling to a new country. Especially, to a country where the visitor does not speak the native language. I will recommend Marcos’s place for the property features and location but more so for the fact that the host will go over and above to accommodate, assist and make his guest feels safe, welcome and at home. I lost my watch charger and after multiple trips trying to find one I asked Marcos for suggestions. Marcos did some research and when I could find the charger locally and we ascertained that I need a special identifier number, which I didn’t, to create a Brazilian online account, Marcos purchased the charger and clearly arranged for me to pick up the delivered charger, even after we checked out of his place. We switched property during our stay in Rio due to logistics. Based on our experience at the other VRBO property, my young adults kept saying we should have stayed at “Marcos place” or let’s look at Marco’s “recommendation”. 😂 Thanks Marcos we felt we had an ally in Rio and absolutely enjoyed your place. Keep up the good work. All, book Marcos place you won’t regret it!!

Fantastic location and incredible host

Marcos is one of the best hosts I’ve had yet! Our plane landed at 6am and he allowed us to check in HOURS before our expected checkin. It allowed us to sleep and rest comfortably and I can’t thank him enough for that! The location is absolutely perfect too! The only comment I would make is that the bathroom tile and grout is old which gives it the appearance it’s dirty. At some point that should be replaced but I understand how expensive and time consuming that is. Other than that everything was great! I look forward to staying here again! Highly recommend it!
