My grandparents' house

Construction dating back to the early 1900s, entirely renovated in 2018, located near the ancient port of Riposto, at the foot of Mount Etna, in a strategic position on the east coast to experience the oldest part of Sicily. Tourist area well served by connections to be able to move easily by car and without: 20 km from Catania airport, 800 m from Giarre Riposto railway station, 300 m from circumetnea line to easily visit the Etna villages. Free beach at 400 m protected by cliffs, ideal for children, underwater exploration and fishing for the wonderful fauna and flora developed in it (hedgehogs, limpets, octopuses, starfish, groupers, ...). The seafront, both towards Torre Archirafi, and towards Fiumefreddo, has a cycle path used by most even for the foot race in the early hours of the morning or evening, enjoying the wonderful play of light of sunrise or sunset . In particular, in some stretches of the long sea, where the grass is present, it is possible to perform, while the sun rises, yoga meditation for lovers of this discipline. The house has a large kitchen of 16 square meters, a double bedroom with TV, a bedroom with two single beds, two bathrooms with shower cabins, a laundry room and a small courtyard of about 10 square meters and parking facilities. The house overlooks the tourist port of Riposto. For every summer season the open-air cinema, located in a garden of beautiful and fragrant pomelias, offers every night the vision of the films of the winter and the previous spring, but for those who have more days to spend in the ancient land of Magna Graecia it is possible to rent cars in an agency located near the house. In the summer period, Riposto offers its visitors as many as three popular festivals of heartfelt religious fervor with firework competitions of long tradition: on 29 June for the celebrations dedicated to the patron saint, San Pietro, on 16 July dedicated to the Madonna del Carmelo , on August 15 at the Madonna Assunta in cielo. The surroundings, then offer countless opportunities for recreation, opportunities for cultural growth, gastronomic tastings: guided excursions and not on Etna, the nearby Taormina, to follow Castelmola, the beautiful beaches of Sant 'Alessio and Letojanni and more to the north Messina. Towards the south Acireale and the villages of the Ciclopi cliffs (Acitrezza, Aci Castello and Aci Sant 'Antonio, made famous by the novel "I Malavoglia" by Verga) await you. Further south, for nature lovers, visiting the Cavagrande nature reserve will be an important experience. Thanks to the Catania - Siracusa motorway, you can also reach the southern coast and its pearls of natural and cultural beauty.
