Great stay and wonderful staff! A bit noisy at night from the bar next door but that couldnt be avoided. The hotel was kind enough to include a sleep kit with ear plugs and eye masks !

It’s a really cool building and overall a very nice hotel. But the TV didn’t work (and when I called down to the desk they seemed to have heard that before) and the coffee maker didn’t work.

Lovely hotel, super nice and gracious staff. Only drag is the loud cars competition commonly going on outside on the streets (a common issue in smaller cities, it seems, as well as the trains. But otherwise, great hotel.

Great property, but noisy

The hotel is a grand restored property in downtown Roanoke with touches that no New hotel could ever afford to do. It has copper everywhere. Our room and the lobby were fabulous. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The only problem, and it cannot be ignored, is exterior noise. It’s next to a train track and a busy downtown street where people drive with their engine revving loud. It is across the street from a homeless shelter. There was an incident while we were there where they called six police cars out and it definitely did not give us a feeling of safety. If it were not for the noise and the homeless shelter, we would give them 5-Star all of the way.
