Misleading advertising! On Expedia it is showing as a four star hotel, but in fact it is a 3 star. On Expedia it says it is very close to attractions, like 3 mins drive to Spanish steps as an example, but in fact it used to take 40 minutes by bus, by taxi maybe 15 minutes, but not 3 mins. This far distance to attractions killed our time in Rome, I wish they were honest. Also the building has a very poor an sub standard quality, you wouldn’t be able to sleep properly because of the huge noise coming from surrounding rooms, people talking or flushing their toilets,

We enjoyed our stay at here and would definitely go back. It was located close to the main train station and we also walked to everything we wanted to see in Rome. The room was small but well equipped and comfortable. The building is really charming. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop and were impressed with their selections and coffee. The staff was friendly and even arranged a driver for us last minute when there was a problem with train service.

Great family trip to Rome

The Montecarlo was a perfect for my family. We booked a room with 2 beds for our young adult kids a a queen for ourselves. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. Different rooms have different mattress types. Our room the bed was more firm and our kids had softer beds. This worked great for us. If you had a preference, you could request a certain type of bed if it’s available. Marco and Micheal at the front desk were incredibly accommodating and very helpful. The location was good for walking and exploring also.

Excellent experience, highly recommended! The location is perfect, close to everything a traveler might need. The staff were great, and the place was very clean. I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you! Initially, I had reservations at the Bee Hive hotel nearby, but I couldn’t check in because they were closed after 9 PM. The owner canceled my reservation and refused to issue a refund. Honestly, the only silver lining to that frustrating experience was that it led me to discover Hotel Montecarlo.
