Superb

This was our first visit to Rome and quite frankly the staff at Hotel Oceania could not have been more welcoming. Located a few minutes from the main station the hotel was a superb base for exploring historic Rome. In particular we would like to thank Mario and Francesco for their kindness and words of wisdom. In terms of value for money our stay was priceless.

The heat was not on in my room for 4 1/2 days. It was 40 degrees in the morning & 58-60 in the afternoons. There are large windows in the room that leaked enormous drafts. My room (a Triple with 2 bedrooms) only had 1 bed in it when we ( mom & adult child) arrived. They made a big deal about moving in another twin bed because we didn’t want to sleep together. (Duh). We were never shown where the safe was, comforters, blankets, Kleenex, extra toilet paper, and there is no soap holder in the shower. The bathroom window is not sealed at all & leaks cold air a lot. The noise in the building courtyard is bad & a group rehearses Opera singing on Fri,Sat,& Sunday evenings. On arrival we were offered bottles of water (liter & 16oz) without any notification of the cost of these items which would appear on our invoice at checkout. Breakfast was served in a completely controlled manner by the servers. It was a very “do not waste” environment. The whole atmosphere of this Hotel is a “do not waste a penny” attitude from the owner, who was pleasant when I met him. The reservations desk ordered a taxi for me to get to the airport when I left for the “bargain” price of 85 euro. It didn’t show on time (surprising?-no)). So we called a taxi on our app which arrived in 5 min & got us to the Airport faster than expected for 55 euro even with a very large bag. Also the double parking on that street daily & nightly is TOO MUCH!

This was a very nice hotel to stay and the staff was the highlight of the stay. They were very friendly and helpful and made the stay all the better. You are within 10 minutes of every main attraction such as the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, pantheon and coliseum.

Great Place to Stay

Fantastic hotel. Convenient location, within easy walking distance of many sites and transit options. Clean and comfortable rooms, with nice breakfast options. Helpful and friendly staff, especially Mario at the front desk. My partner and I will definitely choose Hotel Oceania when we return to Rome.

This was a very basic hotel. Free parking and near a nice cafe. Rooms were dated and the beds uncomfortable and small but it was all we needed. It was clean and we felt very safe while in the hotel. Our room did not have a view and no breakfast either.

Charming, clean and well located.

Such a great little place to stay! The staff are all wonderfully helpful and friendly. I booked so last minute and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The room was on the smaller side, but very clean and tidy. The hotel is a 5min walk from the Trevi and just really well located to get around. Loved it, Thank you!

Comfortable rooms, very kind staff

Our room was very comfortable, we appreciated having separate beds for our children and being able to accomodate the 4 of us in one room. We had to leave early both days that we stayed, and very kindly they prepared a nice breakfast for us in a box.

Our stay at Hotel Oceania was fantastic! We want to extend our special thanks to Mauricio and Mario(the one from Napoli), as well as Carla and Liliana, for their exceptional hospitality and special treatment—they truly made our experience unforgettable. The breakfast was delightful, and our room was perfect for four people, offering both comfort and space. The hotel’s cozy atmosphere and excellent location made it the ideal choice for our visit. The people here are great and can help you with anything. Walkable to most places—we even walked to the Vatican which was about 45 mins but enjoyable. The traffic is a bit noisy but that's what you get when you stay in a large city! All in all, great stay.
