The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and informative. The location is close to the colosseum and Roman forum and easily walkable. If it is hot and humid as it was when we were there, don’t miss the ice bar to cool off. When visiting Rome, Hotel Romano is the location we would choose.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Romano. The staff were so kind and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located for exploring Rome. It is two blocks from the Colosseum and across the street from the Forum. There are plenty of dining options nearby and we always felt safe. We stayed in the Deluxe Double room and had a lovely terrace with a beautiful view just off our room. Staff provided us a small bottle of prosecco in our room at the time of check-in. They had solid WiFi, excellent water pressure in the shower, and good air conditioning. If you're an American and used to large hotel rooms, be aware that most of the rooms you will find in this area of Rome are going to be smaller than you are used to.

everyone at the front desk was so polite and helpful. Santo was the greatest, he was the first one i met and made me feel so welcome, and helped me with directions and organizing transportation back to the airport.

Lovely hotel with great staff and service

The hotel is perfectly situated - a 6 minute walk from the Colosseum and 15 minutes from the Trevi fountain. It is at the bottom of some hills so be prepared. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. It doesn’t have a restaurant but there are two cafes right outside…if you show the hotel business card at one, you’ll get a discount. There are a number of lovely restaurants in the area as well. The room was great…a nice size & clean. We also had a small bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. Less than 2 weeks on and we’re already planning another trip to Rome and will certainly be staying here

Good stay. Excellent location, close to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palantine Hill and more. Bed was good and the room was spacious enough for us. The instant coffee provided didn’t even taste like instant, it was great. Free disposable slippers are provided and we got a small bottle of champagne as a gift, which was nice. We had room 101 and the small patio isn’t great, no view, no chair, probably just for smoking, not sure. The shower is small but good enough. We saw four different front desk staff and they were all great. They held our bags the first day as we came in early; they even put them in our room when we returned in the afternoon. They held them again when we checked out since we had a little time before our train. All in all would definitely stay here again.

Quaint hotel literally around the corner from the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Restaurants right in front. I had a single room and it was perfect. I had a bottle of wine waiting for me and delicious chocolate. Decorated just how I imagined it would be. Comfortable bed with a window that opened up into the street. I was not bothered at all with the noise. To the contrary, I loved hearing the area wake up in the morning. Water pressure was great (always a plus!). It was the staff that made it so wonderful. Thank you for making my first stay in Italy so memorable. I know where I will be staying when I come back.
