Basic room but very friendly host.

Fantastic service, they really made us feel welcomed. Great location. Room was a bit basic, might need a bit of updating but it was clean.

Room to Rome

Carla was amazing! Was always available to help and she sure did. Made our taxi reservations and even brought us her home baked goodies! The B&B is right in the thick of things so expect street noise but the location was great.....just 2 blocks from Colosseum. Older building yet comfortable and good deli right next door.

Close to attractions , not much else .

Room to Rome is a small b&b tucked into one of the buildings on a busy street running opposite the Coloseum . The location is great , walking distance from most of Rome’s attractions . Lots of eateries around it . The room itself is small and stuffy, without any ventilation . The shower leaked all over the bathroom, very minimal toiletries provided . There is no one onsite at the property for any questions or assistance, so if you lock yourself out with a train to catch , you’re SOL. The free breakfast is a mini fridge with bread , juice and milk , that is not topped up unless you run out completely . Every morning , the housekeeper left us 4 cornetto pastries for a family of four . I realize this is a big deal in Rome but I was dissapointed . I would not recommend this place to my friends .

Carla is very accommodating. Property is a 2nd story rooms, off narrow street, stairs. Very short stay ok, but not anything of length. Great location for colosseum and related.

Great place to stay for visit to Rome

Great place to stay, Carla, our host was very accommodating kept in touch with us before we arrived and was always available if we needed anything. Room was small but had everything we required. Location was great for all Rome sites. Plenty of restaurants around that were local places not touristy. Able to walk to everywhere no need to use public transport.

Great apartment in the middle of it all

The owner, Carla, was fantastic, she could not do enough for us to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The part meant was small, as expected, but had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.

Close to coliseum poor breakfast & city Tax EXTRA

Good location in nice area. Nice welcome & info given by Carla. Clean & comfortable room & shower room, Aircon ok. TV French only despite satellite. Nice croissant but otherwise breakfast poor - long life juice, cheese bread all delivered to room in a basket - but horrid. In room coffee/tea maker . Device for capuchino maker is hopeless- don't bother. Lastly city Tax is EXTRA despite your confirmation paperwork stating taxes included so add extra Euro to price - not always the case with other websites so shop around ...

Air condition does not work

This hotel is centrally located near Colloseum but the AC does not work in the room. When you open the windows of the room, there so much noice outside since it is located on busy street and you can not sleep. Break fast is not good

Italy trip

We stayed to visit the Vatican and the Coliseum. It was convenient for both. No sitting area, just beds. One double bed had an indentation in the middle. Otherwise, quite comfortable. The stay included breakfast and our hotel manager arranged transportation to the airport for us. Overall, good experience.

Lovely room close to the colosseum

Wonderful stay at room to rome, perfectly comfortable and a great base for being able to get all around the city. Spotlessly clean, with all the amenities we could ask for, and couldn't have asked for a better view when we stepped outside the door - the colosseum just down the road. We had email and phone contact from Carla before we arrived, and were greeted by Lydia who kindly provided us with a map and pointed out plenty of places we ought to visit. She also assured us if we wanted recommendations for places to eat, it had any questions during our stay, to please just phone. A truly personal service, and a wonderful break in this stunning city.

Great Location

Stayed at Room to Rome in october 2015 for 3 nights with my wife and daughter. Carla was there to meet us and explained everything, she was wonderful! and so helpful with everything. The B&B is in a great location, very close to Colloseum and Cavour subway station with easy access to all of Rome. It has everything you need. Was a great stay! Thank you Carla. We will be back when next in Rome

Outstanding!

The owner Carla was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I stayed at Room to Rome for a week while vacationing in Rome. The room was clean and was a decent size for a European room. We received outstanding service from Carla, who provided us with complimentary snacks, wine and a special gluten free breakfast that met my dietary restrictions. She also arranged for a car to take us to the airport. I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the city!

Loved our stay

Even though we stayed for a night only, we really enjoyed our stay at Room to Rome. The room was quite spacious and had a little kitchen where we could make espressos. The Colosseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona were all within walking distance. There was a nice piazza right across from the hotel as well, but with the windows closed you can't hear a thing. There were some little snacks and tea included as well which was a very nice touch. I found the shower quite small, but it's quite normal for Europe.

Quickie girls trip!!

Carla was very accommodating. There were 4 of us for a quick 2 night stay. The room met our needs. It's very close to the colosseum and the Metro. Carla also arranged for airport drop off and pickup. That was a pesky burden lifted from us. Plenty of restaurants close by. Would stay there again.

Very friendly

Carla was lovely and very helpful and the room was in an excellent location to get around. We found the beds a little hard and although air con was available it was rather loud to keep on at night... Could not leave window open again due to noise- So the room got very hot and stuffy. Breakfast vouchers given for local cafe but this only got you a coffee and a pastry.

Wish we had stayed more than one night!

We booked this last minute at the end of our trip, and only stayed one night. We wish we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect: the Monti area is one of the best in Roma, and you can actually see the Colosseo out the window. The piazza right outside the door is a great spot to hang out, and the streets around it have excellent food. For quick bites nearby go to La Boccaccia for pizza, or Pasta Imperiale. The room was spacious and clean, and the hostess was incredibly nice and helpful. Everything from the shower to the mattress was clean & comfortable. When we come back to Roma, we will stay here again. Hopefully for longer.

Room to Roam in the heart of Rome

Great place to stay. Clara is most helpful. We used two rooms and both were clean and had ensuite shower rooms. Location is great too. Short walk to the Coliseum in one direction and in the other the centre of Rome. Metro is just round the corner on via Cavour and the family run eatery next door at number 7 serves good home made food from dawn till late. Highly reccomended.

Cool and Comfy in Sweltering Rome

I had a terrific time in Rome, made all the better by the lovely,clean and really comfy room. The air-con was really effective and an absolute godsend at night during some of the hottest weather in Rome. Being just 500m from the Forum put me right in the heart of things and a very short walk from some of the greatest treasures in the old city.

Wonderful location

We were in Rome for a day. Carla was very accommodating when we asked to check in a couple of hours early, by letting us leave our bags, even though the room wasn't ready. Then we had a problem with the safe (user error) and Carla came over promptly to reset it. The hotel is in an excellent location, near the coliseum, shopping... The service was amazing. The room was perfect for our needs. The grocery is a few doors down and there is a wonderful little coffee shop a few doors down, as well. We would stay here again.
