Thank you Carola, Laura, Anita and everyone at ARA DI MARTE Suites. You were lovely, it was beautiful, and the breakfast spectacular! It is rare to find a balcony in Rome. And our stay was wonderful. The suites are absolutely lovely. The evenings were quiet, and the location romantic. You are in walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and so much more. We even walked back from the Vatican the first evening. It was an experiece I will never forget. ARA DI MARTE is the perfect place to experience the best of Rome.

Great location, nice furnishings, courteous and professional staff. However, if you’re looking for a place to escape the summer heat, the room we were given was not it. Air conditioning in Room 102 was not sufficient to keep the temperature below 27.5C/81.5F for our entire stay, making it difficult to sleep at night.

Never got to stay there. Classic bait and switch. Told us they upgraded us to a better room, and sent us to a terrible room in the hotel next door. Upon further conversation, they told us our original room had a problem. Offered us free breakfast in return. Free? We had already paid for breakfast. The woman at the desk argued with me. When I showed her my Expedia booking which stated “breakfast included”, she told me that Expedia must have made a mistake. The desk person at the hotel next door was wonderful, but I would avoid this hotel!

We were moved from one location to another one close to the Spanish Steps. Was hard to find and you had to use codes to get in from the street to access your room. No signs that you were even in a hotel. Had to go up a narrow staircase to get to the room. No phone in the room and a lot of street noise. It was not worth the price we paid for it and I would never stay there again.

Central location and nice hotel room

We loved our stay here! The staff is so nice and even gave us some chocolate and wine as we celebrated our honeymoon with them. The location is quite convenient for the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, but for Colosseum, Vatican City and Travestere it takes a bit more time to get to. Overall good spot to explore Rome from.

Central and easy to get around

Great position. V friendly staff. Room was comfortable but quite small considering the names is suites. Needs a bit of touching up. Thought it was quite expensive for the size, quality and level of service but rooms in Rome are. Excellent restaurant recommendations.

Once we found the property, we had a great experience but it is not easy to find! Our Uber dropped us off on the busy street - dragging our bags around on cobble stone streets. It took us 15 minutes to find our hotel - as there is no sign and the hotel is on the 4th floor. I think the hotel needs to provide some information in advance on their location. On the other hand, our room was fabulous and the staff was very helpful in booking our transportation and with restaurant recommendations. We also extended our stay and had to change rooms; they were kind enough to move all of our things for us and alerted us when our new room was ready. Lastly, they served breakfast on our roomy balcony and it was lovely.

Beautiful room! My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It was nice to open the windows and let the winter air in, but the a/c was very efficient in being the temperature back up once we closed them up for bedtime. Enormous shower, very comfortable. Very centrally located so it was an easy walk to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, and Pantheon. Loved it.

The property description does not match the actual place. It is a BB without staff on premise at night. Felt rather unsafe to stay. Breakfast is only in room. No space or even a table to eat. Shower is in the room. Facilities are a bit run down. No common area.

Ara di marte was a true experience. The residence is lavish and well appropriated. Extremely clean and well supplied with coffee, sweets upon arrival, and necessities. We received wonderful service by the staff members. Complimentary bottle of wine was waiting for us after check in. The location was near the Pantheon and the heart of the historic district. Walking distance to cafe’s and shops, in the hustle and bustle of Rome, but not loud. Our family of 4 had ample room to spread out our belongings and make ourselves comfortable. We loved our experience here and highly recommend to others. Be aware that there is no standing shower. Only claw foot tubs with a shower nozzle to hold while washing your hair. Apart from that, perfect stay!
