Not a bad looking hotel on the outside. Reception / lobby and breakfast bar area also reasonable. Communal landings and rooms quite shabby though. Good size bathrooms however. Staff very inconsistent.

Stayed here numerous times before. Bedrooms in need of modernisation. Carpet in my room was dirty and stained. Bath towels are small and so worn they had holes in them! Cleaner must’ve been in a hurry stains on my desk were untouched. Otherwise all ok.

Ideally placed to get to a wide range of different towns, quite, clean, easy access to motorways, The Staff Very Pleasant, Friendly and Helpful, would definitely stay again.

Stayed for five nights - shower not up to temperature in the first room Room changed quite swiftly after a night. Carpets stained in both rooms I used - slippers were necessary. Staff quick to act on issues, though the complexity of registering a vehicle for the car park for a day more than nights booked not explained - apparently the parking management company resets everything at midnight - so expecting to have to get them to cancel a fine. Quite a convenient location and overall the hotel is reasonable for the price - but they do need to get on top of the shabbiness.

Price was reasonable.

Clean enough at a reasonable price. Excessive noise until after midnight; probably just one low quality guest, so maybe we were unlucky with room allocation. The fire alarm and unnecessary evacuation is probably not entirely the hotel's fault, but is likely the product of a failure to enforce regulations, particularly regarding smoking.

Discrimination against my disabled daughter

I have stayed at the ibis for a couple of years and never had any issues regarding my disabled daughter, I booked to stay at the ibis from Friday 14 feb to 17 Feb, I decided to extend my stay from 17 Feb to 19 Feb, I was given a Price of £118 without breakfast I was told if I pay £144 it will cover breakfast which I decided to do, on the morning of 18th Feb we came to have breakfast around 6.30 am because my disabled daughter has to eat before taking medication, to be told I have only paid for 1 person, which obviously I am going to question as I was told the previous day the amount paid covers for 3 people, when I asked the lady to look at my booking she told me she cannot see this but then looked and said it says 1 person , so the lady that took the original booking was not in work until 8 am so I was asked to come back at 8 am. When I returned to desk I was told to go and have breakfast and i am to leave and I will not be able to stay in future, when I asked why I was told I called the First Lady at the counter an idiot which is not true so I said check the cameras, and she said she has a witness That saw it, so I said what calling the lady an idiot she said no, the altercation, which means I can’t question why it says for just one person, there were visitors in reception, the lady then started to say because I leave my disabled daughters urine bags in a disposable bag tied up is wrong, I have stayed several times never been an issue not happy how they treated my family

The property was great value and on the X1 bus route to Sheffield. However, the stay was very noisy with doors banging all night and people making noise and arguing loudly in surrounding rooms which again, seemed to be all through the night. It is not so much the hotel as the clientele who seemed very inconsiderate.
