We received a warm welcome from Jason upon arrival who was friendly and provided useful information. We had booked a Superior Lake View room which was on the 3rd floor. The hotel is currently undergoing a refit but unfortunately our room had not yet received a rejuvenation and was quite dated, tired and definitely not superior. I'm sure once the update takes place the room will be a lot better. Even though the room is sold as having a lake view, the view of the lake was not great, with just a small part of the visible between trees. You'd really want to be on the 5th floor to get a good view. The bed was comfy but the pillows were a bit lumpy and other guests doors slamming and squeezing could easily be heard in our room. The reception area was nice and looked great as did the outside of the hotel. Breakfast was decent enough and all off the staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good stay.

The room was adequate and relatively new looking. A little small we thought. The front restaurant had good meals which was thoroughly enjoyed. Needed though as it is the only 'not fast food' place close to the hotel. Breakfast choice was very good. The building is looking tired in my opinion. It needs some updating. Pool area needs to be better seated.

This was our first stay at Millenium Rotorua. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was really comfortable. We dined in the restaurant, the food was tasty. We also had breakfast poolside. The cost for this was pretty high given the selection that was available. The staff at the bar were awesome. That area could be made to look more exciting with more of a selection of spirits on show, it was a little lacklustre and not conducive to an extended visit, more of a “pop in” place. Overall we would definitely return here, it’s a great location and we thought the staff we encountered were fabulous!

This was a fine property for a two night stay. It could use a little updating. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. It was easy to walk to the town center.

Most staff were kind of rude (save for a few who were friendly and helpful). The bathroom was barely acceptable when it came to cleanliness - there was pink mould in most of the grout as well as dusty corners everywhere. The swimming pool was quite warm and the 16 hot pools area was decently nice - the spa ladies were lovely and helpful. Worst part is probably the cleaner on checkout morning who started knocking while we were asleep at 8:30am to see if we had left, in total she knocked like three times well before checkout which was annoying. Checkout was easy breezy. 5.7/10 wouldn't come again

Great hotel and an easy walk too restaurants, spas etc. good pool and hot spa at the hotel. The only down side was the smell that came through the aircon/cooling system… was a little smelly. I know it very close to the geothermal area, but it would be great to fix the plumbing on that one.

Great hotel, staff very helpful at reception. Our king size room was very spacious with everything we needed to make a comfortable overnight stay. We would definitely return if we return to Rotorua and need a hotel.

Shower would literally change temperature hitting you with scalding water. No other water running in room, and no toilet flushing. I mentioned it, girl at front desk didn’t even apologize… Our door wouldn’t open with key…took an hour to get it fixed before we could get dressed and leave for activities we had planned. We asked if it would be possible to get a coffee as compensation. The answer was quick and definite: NO! Terrible. If you want to be treated like trash, go ahead and book here.

We had 3 upgraded rooms and all very clean, tidy and modern. The pool was a hit for the kids so warm and the retractable roof for sunny days a winner. Breakfast buffet was replenished often.
