I booked a stay at Wyndham Sacramento through Expedia (Sept 27–28, 2025) and had a deeply distressing experience. After properly checking into Room 240 and confirming access with a hotel staff member around 1:00 a.m., I was awakened between 2:00 and 2:30 a.m. by loud knocking. Despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed, a Wyndham employee attempted to open my door and accused me of trespassing, threatening to call the police if I didn’t leave. Thankfully, the security latch prevented entry.
I was in my assigned room, had a valid key card, and had followed all hotel procedures. This was a frightening and unacceptable situation that made me feel unsafe for the rest of the night. I’ve submitted a formal complaint with Wyndham corporate and Expedia, including timestamped evidence and photos.
Guests deserve to feel secure in their rooms — this incident should never happen to anyone.
