I asked for a refund because my Father passed away and I needed to cancel my reservation to go home for the funeral service. They denied it & never gave me a refund. So heartless! Shame on you Governors inn! Shame on you! 😔

Described as downtown, but you have to walk through homeless all around, we used uber to get downtown. Older property but kept clean. First for us, we travel all over the world, but when we arrived early here they wanted a fee to check in early!

We picked this hotel for the free shuttle to the airport as we had a 6 am flight out. Were told on check in that shuttle did not start until 6 am. Desk clerk was rude upon check-in and just kept repeating that the website states 6 am.

Governors Inn was in a great location in Sacramento. The hotel itself was a little outdated but the rooms were huge. And they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even a makeup remover wipe. Parking lot was big and felt safe.

We were in town to attend a graduation at The Golden One Arena and the hotel is very close to the venue. Very comfortable beds. Lots of parking. The breakfast room attendant was very helpful a friendly and even made the waffles for you.

Nice hotel with very large rooms. Buffet breakfast was fine but not great. Excellent Wi-fi and decent channel selection on TV. Airport shuttle was convenient and free. Helpful staff. It is right next to McDonald’s and across the street from Denny’s - not my favorites either but very convenient.

The homeless tents and rubbish in the area across Bercut Dr. is utterly beyond the Inn’s control and might be off putting to some. It doesn’t bother me. Beyond that the Inn is a gem. Everything is in tip-top condition and beautiful. I took a dip in the pool and the hot tub after walking to Old Town. The location is perfect and away from the hubbub. There’s a service station/convenience store across the street. Handy. The room I had was first floor access was good. All in all I say I will be back. The airport shuttle is perfect. Happy camper from Virginia.
